4. Operating Instructions

Follow these steps to charge your electric vehicle using the JATRHG P1 EV Charger.

Charging Process:

  1. Connect to Power: Plug the charger's power plug into a suitable wall outlet. The control box display will illuminate.
  2. Adjust Current (Optional): Press the 'Current Settings' button (usually marked with 'A' or a current symbol) on the control box to cycle through available current options (16A, 13A, 10A, 8A, 6A). Select the desired current based on your vehicle's requirements and power supply capacity. The charger will remember the last selected setting.
  3. Connect to Vehicle: Insert the Type 2 connector firmly into your vehicle's charging port. Ensure a secure connection.
  4. Start Charging: The charger will initiate the charging process automatically. The display will show charging status.
  5. Stop Charging: To stop charging, first disconnect the Type 2 connector from your vehicle, then unplug the charger from the wall outlet.

Scheduled Charging:

The charger supports scheduled charging to delay the start time.

  1. Set Delay: After connecting the charger to power and before connecting to the vehicle, press the 'Schedule Settings' button (usually marked with a clock symbol) to select a delayed start time (e.g., 2, 4, 6, 8, or 10 hours).
  2. Connect to Vehicle: Once the delay is set, connect the Type 2 connector to your vehicle. The charger will display the countdown and begin charging after the set delay.

System On/Off:

  • Turn Off: Press and hold the current button for 3 seconds to turn off the system.
  • Restart: Press and hold the current button again for 3 seconds to restart the system.
