3.2. Selecting and Installing Ear Tips
Proper ear tip selection is crucial for comfort and sound quality. Experiment with the included sizes to find the best fit:
- Gently remove any pre-installed ear tips from the earpieces.
- Select an ear tip size (Small, Medium, or Large) that feels comfortable and creates a good seal in your ear canal. A good seal is essential for optimal bass response and noise isolation.
- Carefully push the chosen ear tip onto the nozzle of the earpiece until it is firmly attached.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1. Wearing the IEMs
- Insert the earpieces into your ear canals, ensuring a snug and comfortable fit.
- Route the cable over the top of your ears. The cable is designed to be worn over-ear to provide stability and reduce microphonics (cable noise).
- Adjust the cable cinch (if present) to secure the cable behind your head or under your chin.
4.2. Connecting to an Audio Source
Plug the 3.5mm single-ended connector of the cable into the headphone jack of your audio device (smartphone, computer, digital audio player, etc.).
4.3. Volume Control
Adjust the volume using the controls on your connected audio device. The Cadenza IEMs do not feature inline volume controls.

5. Maintenance
5.1. Cleaning the Ear Tips and Earpieces
- Regularly remove ear tips and clean them with a soft cloth dampened with mild soap and water. Rinse thoroughly and allow them to dry completely before reattaching.
- Wipe the earpieces with a dry, soft cloth to remove any earwax or debris. Avoid using harsh chemicals or excessive moisture.
- Ensure the nozzle filters are clear of obstructions. If necessary, gently brush away any debris.
5.2. Cable Care
- Avoid sharp bends or excessive pulling on the cable.
- When not in use, coil the cable loosely and store it in a protective case to prevent tangling and damage.
5.3. Storage
Store your IEMs in a clean, dry place away from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, and dust. Using a dedicated carrying case can help protect them during transport.
6. Troubleshooting
6.1. No Sound or Intermittent Audio
- Check Connections: Ensure the 2-pin cable connectors are fully inserted into the earpieces and the 3.5mm jack is securely plugged into your audio source.
- Audio Source: Verify that your audio source is playing sound and its volume is turned up. Test with another pair of headphones or another audio device.
- Cable Integrity: Inspect the cable for any visible damage. If possible, try a different compatible 2-pin cable.
- Ear Tip Seal: Ensure the ear tips create a proper seal in your ear canal. A poor seal can significantly reduce perceived volume and bass.
6.2. Poor Sound Quality (Distortion, Lack of Bass/Treble)
- Ear Tip Seal: Re-evaluate your ear tip selection. An improper seal is the most common cause of poor sound quality, especially lack of bass.
- Audio Source Quality: Ensure your audio files are of good quality and your audio source is functioning correctly.
- Volume Level: Playing audio at excessively high volumes can cause distortion. Reduce the volume to a comfortable listening level.
- Cable Connection: A loose cable connection can affect sound quality. Re-seat the 2-pin connectors.
6.3. Discomfort or Pain
- Ear Tip Size: If you experience discomfort, try a smaller size of ear tip. The goal is a snug fit without pressure.
- Insertion Depth: Do not insert the IEMs too deeply into your ear canal. Adjust until comfortable.
- Break-in Period: Some users may require a short adjustment period to get accustomed to wearing IEMs.
