2. Safety Instructions

4. Assembly

The Eureka Forbes Stick Vac NXT can be assembled in two configurations: Upright Stick Vacuum and Handheld Vacuum.

4.1. Upright Stick Vacuum Assembly

1. Insert the extension tube into the main vacuum unit until it clicks securely into place.
2. Attach the floor brush to the other end of the extension tube, ensuring it is firmly connected.
3. Ensure the dust cup is properly installed on the main unit.

4.2. Handheld Vacuum Assembly

1. Detach the extension tube from the main vacuum unit by pressing the release button (if applicable) and pulling.
2. Attach the desired accessory (crevice tool or upholstery brush) directly to the main vacuum unit until it clicks into place.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Powering On/Off

• Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet. The vacuum cleaner features a 16-meter long cord for extended reach.
• Press the power button (located on the main unit) to turn the vacuum cleaner ON.
• Press the power button again to turn the vacuum cleaner OFF.

5.2. Using the Upright Stick Vacuum

This configuration is ideal for cleaning floors and carpets.

• Ensure the floor brush is attached.
• Gently push and pull the vacuum cleaner across the surface to be cleaned.
• For optimal performance on carpets, move the vacuum slowly to allow the powerful 600W motor to effectively lift dirt.

5.3. Using the Handheld Vacuum

This configuration is suitable for cleaning upholstery, car interiors, stairs, and hard-to-reach areas.

• Attach the crevice tool for narrow gaps or the upholstery brush for fabric surfaces.
• Hold the main unit firmly and guide the attachment over the area to be cleaned.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your vacuum cleaner.

6.1. Emptying the Dust Cup

Empty the dust cup when the dirt reaches the MAX fill line or after each use.

1. Ensure the vacuum cleaner is unplugged from the power outlet.
2. Press the dust cup release button (if applicable) and remove the dust cup from the main unit.
3. Position the dust cup over a waste bin.
4. Open the bottom lid of the dust cup to release the collected dirt.
5. Close the lid securely and reattach the dust cup to the main unit.

6.2. Cleaning the HEPA Filter

The HEPA filter should be cleaned regularly to maintain suction power. It is recommended to clean it after every 3-5 uses, or more frequently depending on usage.

1. Ensure the vacuum cleaner is unplugged.
2. Remove the dust cup as described above.
3. Carefully remove the HEPA filter from the dust cup.
4. Tap the filter gently over a waste bin to remove loose dust.
5. If necessary, rinse the filter under cool running water. Do not use detergent or hot water.
6. Allow the filter to air dry completely for at least 24 hours before reinserting it. Do not use the vacuum cleaner with a wet filter.
7. Reassemble the filter and dust cup, then reattach to the main unit.
