3. Setup and Connectivity

The Redragon K616 Fizz PRO supports three modes of connection: Wired (USB-C), 2.4GHz Wireless, and Bluetooth.

3.1. Wired Connection

  1. Locate the USB-C port on the left side of the keyboard.
  2. Connect the provided USB-C cable to the keyboard and the other end to an available USB port on your computer.
  3. The keyboard will be automatically recognized and ready for use.

3.2. 2.4GHz Wireless Connection

  1. Locate the 2.4GHz wireless receiver (dongle) included in the package.
  2. Plug the 2.4GHz receiver into an available USB port on your computer.
  3. Ensure the keyboard's mode switch (usually on the back or side) is set to 2.4G wireless mode.
  4. The keyboard should automatically connect to the receiver.

3.3. Bluetooth Connection

  1. Ensure your device (computer, tablet, smartphone) has Bluetooth enabled.
  2. Set the keyboard's mode switch to Bluetooth mode.
  3. Press and hold Fn + 1, Fn + 2, or Fn + 3 for 3-5 seconds to enter pairing mode for one of the three available Bluetooth channels. The corresponding key's backlight will flash rapidly, indicating it's ready to pair.
  4. On your device, search for Bluetooth devices and select "Redragon K616" (or similar name) from the list.
  5. Once connected, the key's backlight will stop flashing and remain solid. You can switch between paired Bluetooth devices by pressing Fn + 1, Fn + 2, or Fn + 3 briefly.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Key Functions and Combinations

The K616 Fizz PRO is a 60% layout keyboard, meaning some functions are accessed via the Fn key in combination with other keys.

  • Fn + 1/2/3: Switch between Bluetooth devices.
  • Fn + 4: Switch to 2.4GHz wireless mode.
  • Fn + 5: Switch to Wired mode.
  • Fn + Esc: Toggle `~` (tilde) / `Esc` function.
  • Fn + Shift: Toggle `?` / `/` function.
  • Fn + Win: Lock/Unlock Windows key.

5. Maintenance

5.1. Cleaning

  • Disconnect the keyboard from your computer before cleaning.
  • Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe down the keycaps and keyboard surface.
  • For deeper cleaning, you can use a keycap puller to remove keycaps and clean dust and debris from underneath with compressed air or a small brush.
  • Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the keyboard's finish or keycap legends.

5.2. Switch and Keycap Replacement

The Redragon K616 Fizz PRO features hot-swappable mechanical switches, allowing for easy replacement without soldering. It comes with linear red switches, known for their quiet and smooth key travel.

  1. Use the provided keycap puller to gently remove the desired keycap.
  2. Use the switch puller to carefully grasp the switch and pull it straight up to remove it from the PCB.
  3. Align the pins of the new switch with the holes on the PCB and press it down firmly until it clicks into place. Ensure the pins are not bent.
  4. Place the keycap back onto the new switch.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Keyboard not responding:
    • Ensure the USB cable is securely connected in wired mode.
    • For wireless modes, check if the keyboard is charged and the receiver is properly plugged in (2.4GHz) or Bluetooth is paired correctly.
    • Try restarting your computer.
  • Connectivity issues (2.4GHz/Bluetooth):
    • Ensure the keyboard is within range of your device.
    • Check for interference from other wireless devices.
    • Re-pair the keyboard (for Bluetooth) or re-plug the receiver (for 2.4GHz).
    • Ensure the keyboard battery is not low.
  • RGB lighting not working:
    • Check if the brightness is turned down (Fn + Down Arrow).
    • Ensure the keyboard is not in a mode that disables lighting.
    • If using software, ensure settings are applied correctly.
  • Keys not registering or double-typing:
