Setup Instructions

Assembly is required for this daybed and trundle set. It is recommended to have two people for easier assembly. Mattresses are not included.

Assembly Steps:

1. Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging. Verify that all components listed in the parts list are present.
2. Assemble Daybed Frame: Follow the included hardware instructions to connect the headboard, footboard, and side rails of the main daybed frame. Ensure all bolts are tightened securely.
3. Install Daybed Slats: Place the metal slats onto the daybed frame. Secure them according to the instructions to create a stable mattress support.
4. Assemble Trundle Frame: Assemble the trundle frame, attaching the wheels and any support bars. Pay attention to the orientation of parts, especially those with white arrow stickers, as noted in some user experiences.
5. Install Trundle Slats: Secure the slats onto the trundle frame.
6. Insert Trundle: Carefully slide the assembled trundle bed underneath the main daybed frame.

Note: The daybed and trundle accommodate two twin-sized mattresses. The trundle can fit a mattress up to 9.5 inches thick. No box spring is required.

Operating Instructions

Using the Pop-Up Trundle:

1. Extend Trundle: Gently pull the trundle bed out from under the main daybed frame using the integrated wheels.
2. Raise Trundle to Daybed Height: To raise the trundle to the same height as the daybed, lift the trundle frame and extend the legs until they lock into place. This allows for a larger sleeping surface, effectively creating a king-sized bed when placed side-by-side with the main daybed.



3. Secure Trundle: Once the trundle is in the desired position (either low or raised), engage the locking wheels to prevent accidental movement.



4. Retract Trundle: To store the trundle, disengage the locking wheels, fold the legs down, and gently push the trundle back under the daybed.

Maintenance

• Cleaning: The product care instructions specify "Dry Clean Only" for the furniture finish. For the metal frame, wipe with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
• Regular Inspection: Periodically check all bolts and connections to ensure they remain tight. Re-tighten if necessary.
• Wheel Care: Keep trundle wheels free of debris to ensure smooth operation.

Troubleshooting

Issue: Bed makes noise (squeaking/rattling).

Solution: Ensure all bolts are securely tightened. Check all connections for any looseness. Some users have found applying felt pads or duct tape at connection points can reduce noise.

Issue: Trundle does not roll smoothly or is difficult to pull out.

Solution: Check for any obstructions under the trundle. Ensure the wheels are clean and free of debris. If on carpet, this may naturally be more difficult. Ensure locking wheels are disengaged.

Issue: Trundle legs do not lock into place or collapse.

Solution: Ensure the legs are fully extended and clicked into their locked position. Verify that the locking mechanisms are not damaged. Do not apply excessive weight before confirming the legs are locked.

Issue: Slats pop out.

Solution: Ensure the mattress weight is within the specified limit. Verify that all slats are correctly seated in their designated positions and any securing clips or screws are in place. If the issue persists, contact customer support.
