Key Components

  • Water Tank: Transparent tank with 270 ml capacity for easy monitoring of water level.
  • Soleplate: Durable ceramic soleplate with excellent glide properties and scratch resistance.
  • Temperature Dial: For selecting appropriate ironing temperature based on fabric type.
  • Steam Trigger/Button: Activates continuous steam or powerful steam shot.
  • Spray Button: Releases a fine mist of water for stubborn creases.
  • Anti-Calc System: Integrated system to facilitate cleaning and maintain steam performance.
  • Anti-Drip Function: Prevents water stains on garments, even at low temperatures.

Setup

Before First Use

  1. Remove any stickers or protective film from the soleplate.
  2. It is normal for a small amount of smoke or odor to be produced during the first few minutes of use. This will disappear quickly.
  3. For optimal results, test the iron on an old piece of fabric before ironing your garments.

Filling the Water Tank

  1. Ensure the iron is unplugged from the power outlet.
  2. Hold the iron in a vertical position.
  3. Open the water filling inlet.
  4. Fill the water tank with clean tap water up to the 'MAX' level indicator. Do not overfill.
  5. Close the water filling inlet securely.
  6. Note: For areas with hard water, it is recommended to use a mixture of 50% tap water and 50% distilled water to prolong the life of your iron. Do not use scented water, water from tumble dryers, or chemically descaled water.

Operating Instructions

Temperature Settings

  1. Sort your laundry according to fabric type and recommended ironing temperature.
  2. Plug the iron into a suitable power outlet.
  3. Set the temperature dial to the desired setting. The indicator light will illuminate.
  4. Wait for the indicator light to turn off, indicating that the iron has reached the selected temperature.

Dry Ironing

For dry ironing, ensure the steam control is set to the 'no steam' position. Adjust the temperature according to the fabric type and iron as usual.

Steam Ironing

Steam ironing is suitable for most fabrics, except for very delicate ones. Ensure the water tank is filled and the temperature dial is set to a steam-compatible setting (usually indicated by steam symbols on the dial).

  1. Once the iron has reached the correct temperature, you can activate the continuous steam by moving the steam control.
  2. For a powerful steam shot to remove stubborn creases, press the steam shot button. This function is particularly effective for thicker fabrics.
  3. Note: The anti-drip function prevents water from dripping from the soleplate when the temperature is too low for steam production.

Vertical Steaming

The vertical steam function is ideal for removing creases from hanging garments, curtains, or delicate fabrics that cannot be ironed directly.

  1. Hang the garment on a hanger.
  2. Set the iron to its maximum temperature.
  3. Hold the iron vertically, a few centimeters away from the fabric.
  4. Press the steam shot button repeatedly while moving the iron up and down over the fabric.

Spray Function

The spray function provides a fine mist of water to dampen fabrics, making it easier to iron out stubborn wrinkles. Press the spray button to activate.

Maintenance

Cleaning the Soleplate

To maintain the glide and efficiency of your soleplate:

  • Allow the iron to cool completely before cleaning.
  • Wipe the soleplate with a damp cloth and a non-abrasive cleaner, if necessary.
  • Do not use abrasive pads, metal objects, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the soleplate.

Anti-Calc System Cleaning

The integrated anti-calc system helps reduce limescale buildup. Regular cleaning of the anti-calc valve (if removable) or performing a self-clean cycle (if available) is recommended to maintain steam performance.
