4. Setup
4.1 Initial Charging
Before first use, fully charge the device. Connect the supplied USB cable to the USB-C port on the side of the HO51 and plug the other end into the power adapter. The charging indicator will show the charging status. A full charge typically takes several hours.

4.2 Powering On/Off
Press and hold the Power Switch Key (located below the Save button) for approximately 2 seconds to turn the device on or off.
4.3 Connecting Probes and Leads
- Oscilloscope Probe: Connect the BNC connector of the oscilloscope probe to the BNC input port on the top of the device. Ensure it is securely twisted into place.
- Multimeter Test Leads: Insert the red test lead into the VΩC⊣ port and the black test lead into the COM port for voltage, resistance, capacitance, and diode measurements. For current measurements, refer to the specific current measurement section.
4.4 Probe Compensation
Before using the oscilloscope probe, it is recommended to perform probe compensation to ensure accurate measurements. Connect the probe to the device and attach the probe tip to the Probe Compensation / Signal Generator Output Connector. Adjust the probe's compensation trimmer until a clean square wave is displayed on the screen.
5. Operating Modes
5.1 Oscilloscope Mode
Press the Mode key until the oscilloscope interface is displayed. This mode allows for the visualization and analysis of electrical waveforms.

- Auto-Set: Press the Auto button for automatic adjustment of vertical scale, time base, and trigger level to display a stable waveform.
- Vertical Scale (Volts/Div): Use the Up/Down navigation keys to adjust the vertical sensitivity.
- Time Base (Sec/Div): Use the Left/Right navigation keys to adjust the horizontal time scale.
- Trigger Settings: Press the Trig/Δ key to access trigger options. Use navigation keys to set trigger level, edge (rising/falling), and mode (Auto, Normal, Single).
- Measurements: Press the Measure/Range key to display automatic measurements (e.g., Vpp, Vmax, Vmin, Frequency, Duty Cycle).
- Saving Waveforms: Press the Save key to store the current waveform data.
5.2 Multimeter Mode
Press the Mode key until the multimeter interface is displayed. This mode allows for precise digital measurements of various electrical parameters.

- Function Selection: Use the F1-F4 keys or navigation keys to select desired measurement function (e.g., DC Voltage, AC Voltage, DC Current, AC Current, Resistance, Capacitance, Diode Test, Continuity).
- Voltage Measurement: Connect test leads to VΩC⊣ and COM. Select AC V or DC V. Connect leads in parallel with the circuit.
- Current Measurement: WARNING: Ensure the circuit is de-energized before connecting. For mA range, connect the red lead to the mA port. For A range, connect the red lead to the A port. Connect the device in series with the circuit.
- Resistance/Capacitance/Diode/Continuity: Connect test leads to VΩC⊣ and COM. Select the appropriate function. Ensure the circuit is de-energized before testing.
- Auto Range: Press the Auto button to enable or disable auto-ranging.
- Data Hold: Press the ▶/‖ key to hold the current measurement on the display.
5.3 Waveform Generator Mode
Press the Mode key until the waveform generator interface is displayed. This mode allows for the generation of various test signals.

- Waveform Type: Use the navigation keys to select the desired waveform (Sine, Square, Ramp, Pulse).
- Frequency Adjustment: Use the navigation keys to set the output frequency.
- Amplitude Adjustment: Use the navigation keys to set the output amplitude (1Vpp or 2.5Vpp).
- Output Connection: Connect the signal generator output cable to the Probe Compensation / Signal Generator Output Connector and then to the circuit or device under test.
5.4 PC Software Compatibility
The HO51 can connect to a PC via its USB-C port for data transfer and advanced control. This allows for waveform saving and data export for comprehensive analysis.

6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Clean the device with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
