2. Setup and Initial Use
2.1 Initial Charging
Before first use, fully charge the battery. Refer to your SEYVUM charger's instruction manual for specific charging procedures. Ensure the battery is securely seated in the charger.

2.2 Inserting the Battery into a Tool
- Align the battery with the battery port on your SEYVUM 20V MAX compatible tool.
- Slide the battery into the port until it clicks securely into place. Ensure it is fully seated and does not wobble.
2.3 Removing the Battery from a Tool
- Locate the battery release button on the tool or battery.
- Press and hold the release button.
- Slide the battery out of the tool.

To remove the battery, press the designated release button, typically located on the battery itself or the tool's battery housing, and slide the battery out.
3. Operating the Battery
3.1 Checking Battery Charge Level
The SEYVUM 20V MAX 4.0Ah battery features an integrated charge indicator. Press the button on the battery to illuminate the LED lights, indicating the remaining charge level.
- Four lights: Full charge
- Three lights: High charge
- Two lights: Medium charge
- One light: Low charge, recharge soon
- No lights: Battery depleted, recharge immediately

The LED indicators on the battery provide a quick visual reference for the remaining charge, allowing users to plan their work and recharging cycles effectively.
3.2 General Usage
Once inserted into a compatible tool, the battery will power the tool as designed. Always refer to your tool's instruction manual for specific operating procedures. For optimal performance, avoid completely draining the battery before recharging.
4. Maintenance and Storage
4.1 Charging Practices
- Always use a SEYVUM 20V MAX compatible charger.
- Do not charge the battery in extreme temperatures (below 32°F / 0°C or above 104°F / 40°C).
- Remove the battery from the charger once fully charged to prevent overcharging, although the battery has overcharge protection.
- If the battery feels excessively hot during charging, discontinue charging and allow it to cool before resuming.
4.2 Cleaning
Keep the battery terminals clean and free of debris. Use a clean, dry cloth to wipe the battery. Do not use solvents or immerse the battery in water.
4.3 Long-Term Storage
- For long-term storage, charge the battery to approximately 50-70% capacity.
- Store the battery in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Periodically check the battery charge level during long storage periods and recharge if necessary to maintain optimal health.
