1. Introduction and Overview

The RIOGOO Seed Starter Kit is designed to provide an optimal environment for seed germination and early plant growth. This kit features integrated LED grow lights with adjustable brightness and timing functions, humidity-adjustable domes, and drainage holes to prevent root rot. 3. Setup Instructions

1. Prepare the Seed Trays: Place one 12-cell seed tray into each base tray.
2. Add Soil: Fill each cell of the seed trays with appropriate seed-starting soil. Ensure the soil is moist but not waterlogged.
3. Sow Seeds: Plant your desired seeds according to their specific depth and spacing requirements.
4. Watering: Gently water the newly sown seeds. The base tray will collect excess water, allowing for bottom watering and preventing overwatering.
5. Label Seeds: Use the provided plant labels to mark each type of seed for easy identification.
6. Attach Domes and Grow Lights: Place a clear dome over each filled seed tray. Insert the LED grow light into the designated opening on top of the dome.
7. Connect Power: Connect the USB cable from the grow lights to a 5V 2A power source (e.g., USB wall adapter, computer, mobile power bank).

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Grow Light Operation

The integrated LED grow lights feature a smart control system with adjustable brightness and timing functions:

• Brightness Adjustment: The control wire includes buttons to increase (+) or decrease (-) the brightness of the LED lights. There are 4 levels of growth light modes.
• Timing Settings: The grow lights offer 4 periodic timing settings: 4 hours, 8 hours, 12 hours, and 18 hours. Select the appropriate timing based on your seeds' growth stage and light requirements.
• On/Off Switch: A dedicated button on the control wire allows you to turn the lights on or off.

4.2 Humidity Control

Each clear dome is equipped with circular vents that can be adjusted to regulate humidity levels. Rotate the vents to open or close them, allowing you to create the ideal microclimate for your germinating seeds and young seedlings.

4.3 Drainage

The 12-cell seed trays have drainage holes at the bottom of each unit. This design allows excess moisture to drain into the base tray, preventing waterlogging and reducing the risk of root rot.

5. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Regularly clean the clear domes and trays with mild soap and water to prevent algae and fungal growth. Ensure all parts are dry before reuse.
• Watering: Monitor soil moisture daily. Water as needed, ensuring the base tray does not remain filled with water for extended periods to avoid anaerobic conditions.
• Light Adjustment: Adjust grow light brightness and height as seedlings grow to prevent leggy growth and ensure adequate light exposure.
• Ventilation: Adjust humidity vents as needed. As seedlings grow, gradually increase ventilation to harden them off before transplanting.

6. Troubleshooting

• No Germination: Ensure seeds are fresh, planted at the correct depth, and kept consistently moist. Verify grow lights are functioning and set to an appropriate timer. Check ambient temperature for optimal germination.
• Leggy Seedlings: This indicates insufficient light. Increase the brightness of the grow lights or reduce the distance between the lights and the seedlings. Ensure the timer is set for adequate hours (e.g., 12-18 hours).
• Mold/Damping-Off: Excessive humidity and poor air circulation can lead to mold or damping-off disease. Increase ventilation by opening the dome vents. Ensure proper drainage and avoid overwatering. Consider using a fan for gentle air movement if needed.
• Grow Lights Not Working: Check all USB connections and ensure the power source is active. Verify the on/off switch on the control wire is in the 'on' position.
