This versatile device combines a CD player, FM radio, Bluetooth connectivity, and playback from USB and Micro SD cards. Please read this manual thoroughly before operating the device and retain it for future reference.
2. Safety Information
- Power Source: Use only the specified power adapter or batteries (6 x LR14, not supplied). Ensure the voltage matches the device requirements.
- Water and Moisture: Do not expose the unit to rain, moisture, or immerse it in water. Avoid placing objects filled with liquids, such as vases, on the unit.
- Ventilation: Ensure proper ventilation. Do not block any ventilation openings.
- Heat: Keep the unit away from heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
- Cleaning: Unplug the unit from the wall outlet before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol cleaners.
- Servicing: Do not attempt to service this product yourself. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel.
- CD Compartment: Never open the CD compartment while a disc is spinning.

Controls and Ports:

5. Setup
5.1 Power Connection
Your portable CD radio can be powered by either AC power or batteries.
AC Power:
- Ensure the unit is switched OFF.
- Connect the AC power adapter to the AC power input socket on the back of the unit.
- Plug the other end of the adapter into a standard wall outlet.
Battery Power:
- Ensure the unit is switched OFF and disconnected from AC power.
- Open the battery compartment cover located on the bottom of the unit.
- Insert 6 x LR14 (C-size) batteries (not included), observing the correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
Note: When using battery power, disconnect the AC adapter. Batteries are not recharged by the unit.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Power On/Off and Mode Selection
- To turn the unit ON, press the OFF/ON/MODE button.
- To switch between modes (CD, Bluetooth, USB, Micro SD, Radio, AUX), press the OFF/ON/MODE button repeatedly. The current mode will be displayed on the LCD.
- To turn the unit OFF, press and hold the OFF/ON/MODE button.
6.2 CD Playback
The unit supports CD, CD-R, CD-RW, and CD-MP3 formats.
- Press the OFF/ON/MODE button until "CD" mode is selected.
- Open the CD compartment cover.
- Place a CD with the label side facing up onto the spindle.
- Close the CD compartment cover. The unit will read the disc, and playback will start automatically.
- Press Play/Pause to pause or resume playback.
- Press Previous Track or Next Track to skip tracks.
- Press and hold Previous Track or Next Track to fast forward or rewind.
- Repeat Function: Press the Repeat button (often integrated with Play/Pause or a dedicated button) to repeat the current track or all tracks.
- Program Function: Press the PROG button to program a sequence of tracks. Follow the on-screen prompts to select tracks.
6.3 Bluetooth Operation
- Press the OFF/ON/MODE button until "Bluetooth" mode is selected. The unit will enter pairing mode, indicated by a flashing Bluetooth icon on the display.
- On your Bluetooth-enabled device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
- Select "Mady" or a similar name from the list of devices.
- Once paired, the Bluetooth icon on the unit's display will stop flashing and remain solid.
- You can now play audio from your connected device through the CD radio. Use the unit's controls or your device's controls for playback and volume.
6.4 USB / Micro SD Playback
The unit supports MP3 files from USB flash drives and Micro SD cards.
- Insert a USB flash drive into the USB port or a Micro SD card into the Micro SD card slot.
- Press the OFF/ON/MODE button until "USB" or "SD" mode is selected. The unit will automatically detect and begin playing MP3 files.
- Use the Play/Pause, Previous Track, and Next Track buttons to control playback.
6.5 FM Radio Operation
- Extend the telescopic FM antenna for optimal reception.
- Press the OFF/ON/MODE button until "Radio" or "FM" mode is selected.
- Automatic Scan: Press the SCAN button to automatically scan and save available FM stations.
- Manual Tuning: Use the Previous Track or Next Track buttons to manually tune to a desired frequency.
- Saving Presets: After tuning to a station, press the MEM button (often integrated with Play/Pause) to enter program mode, then use the track buttons to select a preset number, and press MEM again to save.
- Recalling Presets: In radio mode, use the Previous Track or Next Track buttons to cycle through saved preset stations.
6.6 AUX Input
- Connect an external audio device (e.g., MP3 player, smartphone) to the AUX Input using a 3.5mm audio cable (not included).
- Press the OFF/ON/MODE button until "AUX" mode is selected.
- Play audio from your external device. The sound will be output through the CD radio's speakers. Control playback from your external device.
6.7 Headphone Output
To listen privately, plug 3.5mm headphones (not included) into the Headphone Output jack. The speakers will automatically mute.
7. Maintenance
7.1 Cleaning
- Always unplug the unit before cleaning.
- Use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth to clean the exterior surfaces.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents as they may damage the finish.
- For the CD lens, use a specialized CD lens cleaner disc.
7.2 Storage
When not in use for extended periods, store the unit in a cool, dry place. Remove batteries if storing for more than a few weeks to prevent leakage.
