4. Assembly and Setup

4.1 Fuel Mixing

The STIGA MT 330 uses a 2-stroke gasoline engine. It requires a specific mixture of unleaded gasoline and 2-stroke engine oil. Refer to the engine manufacturer's instructions for the correct mixing ratio. Always mix fuel in an approved container and in a well-ventilated area.

4.2 Attaching Components

To assemble the multi-tool:

  1. Connect the desired attachment (brushcutter, hedge trimmer, or pole pruner) to the main power unit shaft. Ensure the connection is secure and locked into place.
  2. If additional reach is required, insert the 70 cm extension shaft between the power unit and the attachment. Verify all connections are firmly secured.
  3. Attach the shoulder harness to the designated point on the shaft for comfortable operation and weight distribution. Adjust the harness for a balanced feel.

5. Operation

5.1 Starting the Engine

Follow the engine manufacturer's instructions for starting. Typically, this involves:

  1. Place the tool on a flat, stable surface.
  2. Engage the choke (if applicable).
  3. Prime the carburetor (if applicable).
  4. Pull the starter cord firmly until the engine starts.
  5. Disengage the choke once the engine is running smoothly.

5.2 Brushcutter Operation

The brushcutter is suitable for trimming grass and light brush. Use the nylon head for grass and the 3T metal blade for denser vegetation.

5.3 Hedge Trimmer Operation

The hedge trimmer is designed for shaping and trimming hedges and shrubs. The 180° rotating head allows for versatile cutting angles.

5.4 Pole Pruner Operation

The pole pruner is used for cutting branches from trees. The 25 cm blade is suitable for short cutting tasks.
