4. Setup and Installation

The SCHÜTTE LED Toilet Seat is designed for easy top-mount installation. Follow the steps in the included illustrated manual for a secure fit.

1. Prepare the Toilet Bowl: Ensure the toilet bowl is clean and dry where the seat will be mounted.
2. Insert Mounting Bolts: Place the mounting bolts into the holes on the toilet bowl.
3. Attach Hinges: Position the hinges onto the mounting bolts.
4. Secure the Seat: Align the toilet seat with the hinges and press down firmly until it clicks into place. The quick-release mechanism allows for easy attachment and detachment.
5. Adjust and Tighten: Adjust the seat position as needed, then tighten the mounting bolts from above to secure the seat firmly.
6. Install Batteries: Locate the battery compartment for the LED night light (usually on the underside of the seat or lid). Insert the required batteries (not included) according to the polarity markings.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. LED Night Light

The integrated LED night light is designed for convenience during nighttime use. It activates automatically in darkness when sounds are detected. This feature helps you navigate the bathroom without needing to turn on bright overhead lights, which can disrupt sleep.

5.2. Soft-Close Mechanism

The toilet seat and lid are equipped with a soft-close mechanism. A gentle tap is sufficient to initiate the closing process. The lid and seat will then lower slowly and silently, preventing slamming and extending the product's lifespan.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning will maintain the hygiene and appearance of your toilet seat. The quick-release function makes cleaning easy.

1. Quick-Release: To remove the seat for thorough cleaning, simply press the quick-release buttons (if applicable) or lift the seat vertically from the hinges as shown in the installation section.
2. Cleaning the Seat: Use a mild soap solution and a soft cloth to clean the Duroplast surface. Wipe dry immediately.
3. Cleaning the Toilet Bowl: With the seat removed, you can easily clean the entire toilet bowl and the mounting area.
4. Reattachment: Once cleaning is complete, simply align the seat with the hinges and press down until it locks securely into place.

Caution: Do not use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or strong chemical detergents, as these can scratch the surface or damage the LED components.

• LED Night Light Not Working:
  • Check if batteries are correctly installed and not depleted. Replace batteries if necessary.
  • Ensure the environment is dark enough for the light sensor to activate.
  • Verify that there are sounds to trigger the light in darkness.
• Toilet Seat Feels Loose:
  • Tighten the mounting bolts. Refer to the installation section.
  • Ensure the quick-release mechanism is fully engaged.
• Soft-Close Mechanism Not Functioning Properly:
