1. Product Overview
The iSpring WGB32B-KDS is a heavy-duty 3-stage whole house water filtration system designed to provide clean and refreshing filtered water throughout your home. This system effectively reduces lead, scale, chlorine, chloramine, heavy metals, hydrogen sulfide, and other contaminants, ensuring improved water quality for various household uses.
The filtration process involves three stages:
- Stage 1: FWDS150K Anti-Scale Polyphosphate Filter - Shields pipes and appliances by sequestering calcium and magnesium, inhibiting corrosion, forming a protective layer, and stabilizing chlorine.
- Stage 2: FG25B-KS GAC + KDF Compound Filter - Targets chlorine, chloramine, lead, mercury, hydrogen sulfide, heavy metals, and more.
- Stage 3: FC25B Carbon Block Filter - Captures residual tastes and odors, reducing up to 99% chlorine, and ensures maximum efficiency.
The entire system filters up to 250,000 gallons, providing a year's clean water for a family of four, and meets NSF/ANSI standards.

4. Setup & Installation
Before beginning installation, please carefully read the user manual to understand your system's technical aspects, limitations, and installation guidelines. Ensure all parts are included in the package and you have all required tools on hand.
4.1. Pre-Installation Checks
- Inlet/Outlet Port Sizes: The system comes in different inlet and outlet port sizes (1/2-in, 3/4-in, or 1-in). Convert fittings may be needed if you have a different size water pipe.
- Water Flow Direction: Ensure the water flow direction arrow on the machine head matches the direction of the water flow within your pipeline. If not, the housing can be reversed (see video below).
- Bypass: A water router bypass is recommended to ease future filter replacement and system maintenance.
4.2. Applying Plumber's Tape
Plumber's tape (Thread Seal Tape) is commonly used on water pipe threads to prevent leaks. Ensure the threads are clean and free from debris. Test-fit the fittings before applying any tape. Apply the plumber's tape to the fittings in the clockwise direction to thread. Apply the tape accordingly, as the tape's thickness may vary. Carefully insert and tighten the fittings with a wrench to the inlet and outlet port of your system. Do not over-tighten, as this can cause cracks and leaks.
4.3. Inserting Filter Cartridges
Unwrap all filter cartridges and insert them into the housing in the correct order. Ensure filter center holes slip over the center knob in the bottom of housings. Ensure housing o-rings are properly seated to prevent leaks.
4.4. Installation Steps
- Bypass or shut off the main water line and open the nearest faucet to drain the water from the pipe and release any pressure.
- Find a suitable location for the system. Measure and cut the water inlet pipe. Use a bucket to catch any remaining water from the pipe.
- Mount the bracket of the filter system on the wall and then connect it to the pipeline. Please ensure the water flow direction arrow on the machine head matches the direction of the water flow within the pipeline.
- Turn on the main water and put the system back in service. Ensure there are no leaks and that the filtration system is working properly.
- Let the water run from a nearby faucet for about 10 minutes until the water is clear to flush out debris and loose filter media. Turn off the faucet when finished.

5. Operating Instructions
Once installed and flushed, the iSpring WGB32B-KDS system operates continuously, providing filtered water to your entire home. No daily interaction is required beyond routine maintenance.
6. Maintenance & Filter Replacement
The system requires scheduled maintenance and filter replacement to ensure water quality and performance. Replace filters according to the manufacturer's suggested schedule or as needed, based on water quality and usage.
6.1. Filter Lifespan
- FWDS150K Anti-Scale Polyphosphate Filter: Up to 1 year or 250,000 gallons.
- FG25B-KS GAC + KDF Compound Filter: Up to 1 year or 150,000 gallons.
- FC25B Carbon Block Filter: Up to 1 year or 100,000 gallons.
6.2. Filter Replacement Steps
- Bypass or shut off the main water line and open the nearest faucet to drain the water from the pipe and release pressure. Use the pressure release button on the system, if applicable.
- Unscrew the filter housing clockwise using the included housing wrench. Use a bucket to catch any remaining water from the pipe.
- Remove and dispose of the expired filter cartridges. Wearing a pair of rubber gloves and safety glasses, clean the housing and housing cap with lukewarm water mixed with two tablespoons of household bleach, using a sponge or soft cloth. Rinse thoroughly when finished.
- Unwrap all new filter cartridges and insert them into the housing. Ensure filter center holes slip over the center knob in the bottom of housings. Apply lubricant and ensure housing o-rings are properly seated to prevent leaks.
- Hand tighten the housings counterclockwise onto the housing caps. Using the housing wrench, tighten the housing with another quarter to half of a turn. Do not over-tighten, as this can cause leaks and make future filter replacements difficult.
- Turn on the main water and put the system back in service. Make sure there are no leaks and that the filter system is working properly. Let the water run from a nearby faucet for about 10 minutes until the water is clear to flush out debris and loose filter media. Turn off the faucet when finished.
