1. Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the Bionik NeoGlow Wireless Controller. This controller is designed to enhance your gaming experience across multiple platforms, including Nintendo Switch, PC, and Android devices. It features a transparent shell with customizable RGB lighting, motion controls, adjustable vibration, and programmable buttons. Please read this manual thoroughly to ensure proper setup and operation.

The NeoGlow controller features a standard layout with two analog sticks, a D-pad, A/B/X/Y face buttons, shoulder buttons (L/R), and triggers (ZL/ZR). Additionally, it includes two programmable M1 and M2 buttons on the underside for custom assignments.

4. Setup

4.1. Charging the Controller

The controller comes with a built-in 900 mAh rechargeable battery. Before first use, fully charge the controller.

  1. Connect the small end of the included 10-foot USB-C cable to the USB-C port on the top of the controller.
  2. Connect the large end of the USB-A cable to a powered USB port (e.g., Nintendo Switch dock, PC, USB wall adapter).
  3. The LED indicators on the controller will show charging status. A full charge provides over 40 hours of playtime.

4.2. Pairing with Nintendo Switch

To pair the NeoGlow controller with your Nintendo Switch:

  1. From the HOME Menu, select Controllers > Change Grip/Order.
  2. On the NeoGlow controller, press and hold the Sync button (located on the top edge) for 3 seconds until the player indicator lights begin to flash.
  3. Once paired, the player indicator(s) on the controller will light up solid.

4.3. Pairing with PC (Windows)

The controller can be connected to a PC via Bluetooth or wired connection.

4.3.1. Bluetooth Connection

  1. Ensure your PC has Bluetooth enabled.
  2. Go to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices > Add Bluetooth or other device > Bluetooth.
  3. On the NeoGlow controller, press and hold the Sync button for 3 seconds.
  4. Select "NeoGlow Controller" from the list of available devices on your PC.

4.3.2. Wired Connection

Connect the controller directly to your PC using the included USB-C cable. The PC should automatically detect and install the necessary drivers.

4.4. Pairing with Android Devices

To pair with an Android device:

  1. Enable Bluetooth on your Android device.
  2. Go to Bluetooth settings and scan for new devices.
  3. On the NeoGlow controller, press and hold the Sync button for 3 seconds.
  4. Select "NeoGlow Controller" from the list of available devices.

5. Operating the Controller

5.1. RGB Lighting Modes

The NeoGlow controller features a transparent shell with RGB tube lighting, offering millions of color combinations and three distinct LED glow modes: Smooth Wave, Solid Breathe, and Rainbow Pulse. Use the dedicated color change button to cycle through these modes.

5.2. Adjustable Vibration

The controller offers three different levels of rumble intensity (Low, Medium, High) to fully immerse you in your game. Refer to the controller's specific button combinations or settings menu for adjustment.

5.3. Turbo Mode

Activate Turbo mode for continuous presses by simply holding down a button. The NeoGlow controller supports Turbo modes of 5, 12, or 20 presses per second. Consult the controller's instructions for assigning and adjusting Turbo functions.

5.4. Programmable Buttons (M1/M2)

The two ergonomically placed mappable buttons (M1 and M2) on the underside of the controller can be programmed to perform a single action or a combination of up to 32 button presses using its macro feature. This allows for advanced customization and quick execution of complex commands.

5.5. Gyroscope/Motion Control

The controller features a built-in gyroscope that provides 360 degrees of movement, enabling precise motion control in compatible games. This enhances gameplay for titles that utilize tilt and motion inputs.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the controller. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Storage: Store the controller in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the controller frequently. Charge it regularly, even if not in use for extended periods.
  • Avoid Drops: Protect the controller from drops and impacts, which can damage internal components or the transparent shell.

7. Troubleshooting

7.1. Controller Not Connecting/Pairing

  • Ensure the controller is fully charged.
  • Verify Bluetooth is enabled on your device (Switch, PC, Android).
  • Try restarting the controller by holding the Sync button until it turns off, then attempt pairing again.
  • If connecting to Switch, ensure you are in the "Change Grip/Order" menu.
  • For PC, try a wired connection to rule out Bluetooth issues.

7.2. Input Lag or Unresponsive Buttons

  • Ensure there are no obstructions or excessive distance between the controller and the device.
  • Check for interference from other wireless devices.
  • Ensure the controller's firmware is up to date (check Bionik's official website for updates).
  • If using a wired connection, ensure the cable is securely connected.

7.3. RGB Lights Not Working

  • Ensure the controller has sufficient battery charge.
  • Press the dedicated color change button to cycle through modes and ensure it's not set to an 'off' state.
