Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your Peteme Smart LED Recessed Lighting 6 Inch. Please read this manual thoroughly before installation and use to ensure proper function and safety.

The Peteme Smart LED Recessed Lighting is an IC-rated, ETL-certified pot light designed for indoor use. It features 14W, 1200LM output with RGB multicolor and adjustable cool to warm white (2700K-6500K) color changing capabilities. It requires a hub for smart functionality and is compatible with voice control systems like Alexa and Google Assistant.

• Always turn off power at the circuit breaker before installation or servicing.
• Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician or in accordance with local electrical codes.

Setup and Installation

Pre-Installation

1. Turn off power at the circuit breaker.
2. Determine the desired location for the recessed light. Ensure there is sufficient clearance above the ceiling for the junction box and light fixture.
3. Cut a circular hole in the ceiling with a diameter of approximately 5.94 inches (15.09 cm). Refer to the product dimensions for precise measurements.

Wiring and Mounting

1. Open the junction box cover.
2. Connect the household electrical wires to the wires inside the junction box:
   • Black wire to Live (L)
   • White wire to Neutral (N)
   • Green/Bare copper wire to Ground (GND)
   Secure connections with wire nuts.
3. Close the junction box cover and place the junction box into the ceiling opening.
4. Connect the recessed light fixture to the junction box cable.
5. Push the spring clips on the sides of the light fixture upwards and insert the fixture into the ceiling opening. Release the clips to secure the light in place.

Smart App Connection (Requires Hub)

This smart light requires a compatible hub (sold separately) for app and voice control functionality. Ensure your hub is set up and connected to a 2.4 GHz WiFi network.

1. Download the "Smart Life" application from your smartphone's app store.
2. Open the "Smart Life" app and register or log in.
3. Ensure the hub is powered on and connected to your 2.4 GHz WiFi network.
4. In the "Smart Life" app, select the option for automatic device search.
5. The hub will automatically detect the recessed downlight. Select the detected light to connect it to your smart home system.
6. Once connected, you can rename the light and group it with other smart devices.

Operating Instructions

Basic Control via App

After successful connection to the "Smart Life" app, you can control the light's features:

• On/Off: Toggle the light on or off.
• Brightness Adjustment: Adjust the light intensity from 0% to 100%.
• Color Temperature: Change the white light from cool white (6500K) to warm white (2700K).
• RGB Colors: Select from 16 million colors to create various ambiances.

Voice Control

The light is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. Ensure your smart assistant device is linked to your "Smart Life" account.
