- Use the built-in cutter to cut the bag. Ensure the blade cuts from right to left for a clean edge.
- Place one end of the cut bag flat over the heat seal area.
- Close the lid and press down firmly on both sides until you hear a click, ensuring both latches are completely locked.
- Press the "SEAL" button. The machine will automatically seal the bag. If the seal is not hot enough on the first attempt, press "SEAL" again.

Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and longevity of your vacuum sealer.
- Always unplug the appliance before cleaning.
- Wipe the exterior of the machine with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
- The liquid storage area is removable and washable. Empty and clean it after sealing moist foods to prevent odors and bacterial growth.
- Inspect the sealing foam gaskets regularly for any damage or debris. Replace them if necessary (2 replacements included).
- Keep the heat sealing strip clean and dry.
- Do not lock the machine when not in use to protect the gaskets from compression.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your KOSBON A-239, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- Machine does not vacuum or seal:
- Ensure the power cord is securely plugged in.
- Verify the lid is fully closed and both side latches are clicked into place.
- Check that the open end of the bag is placed correctly within the vacuum channel and not over the heat seal area.
- For the first seal, the heat seal area may not be hot enough. Try sealing again.
- Incomplete vacuum or poor seal:
- Ensure the bag is intact and flat, without wrinkles in the sealing area.
- Do not overfill the bag; leave at least 3 inches of space from the top.
- Check the sealing foam gaskets for any damage or debris that might prevent a proper seal.
- Ensure the correct mode (DRY/MOIST) is selected for the food type.
- Cutter not working effectively:
- Ensure the bag is positioned correctly under the cutter blade.
- Slide the cutter firmly and evenly across the bag.
Video 4: This video highlights common errors in operation, such as incorrect bag placement, improper latching, and premature opening, helping users avoid mistakes.
