2. Setup Guide
2.1 Unboxing and Component Check
Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure you have the main feeder unit, stainless steel food tray, and power adapter (if included, note: power adapter may not be included and needs to be purchased separately).

- Connect the power adapter to the feeder and a wall outlet.
- For emergency backup, install 4 D-cell batteries (not included) into the battery compartment located at the bottom of the unit. This allows the feeder to operate for approximately 1 month in deep power-saving mode during power outages.

2.3 App Download and Wi-Fi Connection
- Download the PETKIT app from your smartphone's app store.
- Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to create an account and add your FRESH ELEMENT GEMINI feeder.
- Ensure your smartphone is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network during the pairing process. The feeder only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi.
2.4 Filling Food Hoppers
- Open the top lid of the feeder.
- The feeder has two separate hoppers: a 3L hopper and a 2L hopper. Fill each hopper with your desired dry pet food.
- Ensure the food size is compatible: maximum diameter/dimensions of 1.27cm for dry food, air-dried food, and freeze-dried treats, and 0.89cm for freeze-dried food.
- Place the desiccant pack into its designated slot in the lid to maintain food freshness. Replace the desiccant regularly as prompted by the app.
- Close the lid securely to activate the sealing mechanism.

5. Troubleshooting
- Food Not Dispensing:
- Check if the feeder is powered on and connected to Wi-Fi.
- Ensure the food hoppers are not empty. The app will send food shortage alerts.
- Verify that the food size is within the compatible limits (max 1.27cm for most dry foods, 0.89cm for freeze-dried food).
- The feeder features an improved rotor and smart motor to prevent clogging. If food is still stuck, gently shake the unit or clear any obstructions from the food outlet.
- Wi-Fi Connectivity Issues:
- Ensure your router is broadcasting a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi signal. The feeder does not support 5GHz Wi-Fi.
- Move the feeder closer to your Wi-Fi router.
- Restart your router and the feeder.
- Follow the app's instructions for re-pairing the device.
- Power Outage:
- If the feeder loses AC power, it will automatically switch to battery power if D-cell batteries are installed.
