Setup and Installation

Follow these steps for optimal installation of your solar shed light. Ensure the solar panel is placed in an area that receives direct sunlight for at least 6-8 hours daily.

  1. Prepare Mounting Location: Punch 2-3 suitable holes at the desired installation place for the solar panel. Insert the expansion column hinge into the holes.
  2. Mount Solar Panel: Tighten the screws to securely mount the solar panel on the wall or desired surface.
  3. Adjust Solar Panel Angle: Adjust the angle of the solar panel to ensure optimal sunlight exposure throughout the day.
  4. Mount Light Unit: Tighten the screws and install the solar light unit at your desired indoor or outdoor location.
  5. Connect Wires: Connect the waterproof wire connector from the solar panel to the solar light unit. Ensure a secure connection.
  6. Adjust Light Panels: The four LED light panels can be adjusted up and down by 120° to direct light where needed.
  7. Initial Charge: Before first use, charge the solar light for 6-8 hours in direct sunlight. Turn on the power button next to the motion sensor on the light unit.

Operating Instructions

The INXPHY Solar Shed Light offers 5 distinct lighting modes, controllable via the included remote or the mode switch on the unit.

Lighting Modes:

  • Mode 1: At night, the light is dim and brightens for 20 seconds when motion is detected. Works only at night.
  • Mode 2: Stays off. Activates for 20 seconds when motion (person or animal) is detected. Works only at night.
  • Mode 3: Constant on at night with 70% brightness. Works only at night.
  • Mode 4: Stays off. Activates by motion. Works both day and night.
  • Mode 5 (Auto Mode): Stays bright all day. Automatically switches to Mode 4 when battery level drops to 60%. Cycles the next day.
Visual representation of the 5 lighting modes: Mode 1 (dim to bright with motion), Mode 2 (off to bright with motion), Mode 3 (constant 70% brightness), Mode 4 (off to bright with motion day/night), Mode 5 (auto mode, bright all day, then mode 4).

Remote Control Functions:

  • Mode Switch: Cycle through the 5 lighting modes.
  • Brightness Adjustment (+/-): Adjust light intensity to 100%, 75%, 50%, or 25%.
  • Timer Setting:
    • 2H: Keep on for 2 hours at 70% brightness.
    • 4H: Keep on for 4 hours at 60% brightness.
    • 6H: Keep on for 6 hours at 50% brightness.
  • ON/OFF: Power the light on or off.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your solar shed light.

  • Clean Solar Panel: Periodically wipe the solar panel with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust, dirt, and debris. A clean panel ensures maximum sunlight absorption and charging efficiency.
  • Check Connections: Ensure all wire connections between the solar panel and the light unit remain secure and free from corrosion.
  • Clear Obstructions: Make sure no trees, buildings, or other objects are blocking direct sunlight from reaching the solar panel, especially during peak sunlight hours.
  • Battery Care: While the battery is designed for durability, avoid prolonged periods of storage without charging. If storing for an extended time, ensure the battery is fully charged before storage and recharge every few months.
  • Inspect for Damage: Regularly check the light unit and solar panel for any physical damage, cracks, or loose components.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your INXPHY Solar Shed Light, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Light does not turn on at night.Insufficient solar charge; ON/OFF button not pressed; light sensor obstructed.Ensure solar panel receives 6-8 hours of direct sunlight. Press the ON/OFF button on the unit. Clear any obstructions from the light sensor.
Light duration is shorter than expected.Inadequate solar charge; cloudy weather; battery degradation over time.Relocate solar panel for better sun exposure. Allow for multiple sunny days to fully charge. Consider replacing the battery if it's old and performance has significantly decreased.
Motion sensor not working or too sensitive.Sensor obstructed; incorrect mode selected; environmental interference.Ensure sensor is clear. Check if the correct motion-sensing mode (Mode 1, 2, 4, 5) is selected. Adjust the light's position to minimize false triggers from wind or small animals if sensitivity is an issue.
Remote control not responding.Remote battery low/dead; remote not aimed correctly; interference.Replace remote control battery. Ensure direct line of sight to the light unit's sensor. Reduce potential interference from other electronic devices.
