Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your Prolux X8 Pro vacuum.

1. Emptying and Replacing HEPA Bags

The vacuum uses disposable HEPA bags. Monitor the bag fill indicator (if present) or check the bag periodically. Replace the bag when it is full to maintain suction power and filtration efficiency.

  1. Turn off and unplug the vacuum.
  2. Open the filter compartment.
  3. Carefully remove the full HEPA bag and dispose of it according to local regulations.
  4. Install a new Prolux HEPA bag, ensuring it is properly seated.
  5. Close the filter compartment securely.

2. Cleaning and Replacing Filters

The 4-stage filtration system includes a HEPA filter, cloth bag, and carbon post filter, in addition to the disposable HEPA bags. These components require periodic cleaning or replacement.

  • HEPA Filter: Inspect regularly. Tap out loose dust or replace if heavily soiled or damaged.
  • Cloth Bag: This reusable bag should be emptied and shaken clean as needed. Wash if necessary and ensure it is completely dry before reinstallation.
  • Carbon Post Filter: Replace periodically, typically every 6-12 months, depending on usage, to maintain odor filtration.

Refer to Figure 3 for a visual guide to the filtration components.

3. Cleaning the Exterior

Wipe the exterior of the vacuum unit and accessories with a damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
