Setup

1. Battery Installation

The remote control requires two AA batteries (not included). Follow these steps to install them:

  1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the remote control.
  2. Slide the cover downwards to open the compartment.
  3. Insert two AA batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals match the diagrams inside the compartment.
  4. Slide the cover back into place until it clicks securely.

2. Pairing the Remote Control (Bluetooth)

For full functionality, including voice control, the remote must be paired with your Xiaomi MI Box S or MI TV Stick via Bluetooth. If the remote does not respond immediately after battery installation, follow these pairing steps:

  1. Ensure your Xiaomi device is powered on and you are on the home screen.
  2. Hold the remote control close to your Xiaomi device (within 20 cm).
  3. Simultaneously press and hold the Home button (circle icon) and the Back button (arrow icon) for approximately 5-10 seconds.
  4. Release the buttons when you see a pairing confirmation message on your TV screen.
  5. If pairing is successful, the remote control will be ready for use.
  6. If pairing fails, repeat the steps. You may need to navigate to the Bluetooth settings on your Xiaomi device to manually add a new device.
