6. Operating Instructions
6.1. LCD Screen Overview
The LCD screen (7 cm high x 12 cm wide) displays all operational parameters, including selected program, frequency, duty cycle, and treatment time.
6.2. Selecting Treatment Parameters
The SonicStimu Pro offers 10 pre-set treatment programs. Use the control buttons next to the LCD screen to adjust settings:
- Program: Use the 'PROGRAM' buttons to cycle through the 10 available treatment models.
- Frequency: Use the 'FREQUENCY' buttons to select between 1 MHz and 3 MHz. 1 MHz is generally used for deeper tissue penetration, while 3 MHz is for superficial tissues.
- Duty Cycle: Use the 'DUTY CYCLE' buttons to adjust the pulse ratio (e.g., 10%, 20%, 50%, 100%). Continuous (100%) mode provides thermal effects, while pulsed modes (lower percentages) are primarily mechanical.
- Time: Use the 'TIME' buttons to set the desired treatment duration.
6.3. Application Technique
- Apply a generous amount of ultrasound gel to the skin over the treatment area. This is crucial for effective ultrasound transmission.
- Place the selected treatment head firmly and flat against the skin, ensuring full contact with the gel.
- Move the treatment head in slow, continuous circular motions over the treatment area. Avoid holding the head stationary.
- Monitor the LCD screen for treatment progress.
- For underwater therapy, ensure the treatment head is fully submerged in water while maintaining contact with the skin. The main unit must remain dry.
7. Maintenance
7.1. Cleaning
- After each use, disconnect the device from power.
- Wipe the treatment heads and the main unit with a soft, damp cloth. A mild disinfectant can be used on the treatment heads.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Ensure no liquid enters the main unit.
7.2. Storage
- Store the device in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Keep the device and accessories in their original packaging or a protective case to prevent damage.
8. Troubleshooting
- Device does not power on: Check if the power adapter is securely connected to both the device and the electrical outlet. Ensure the outlet is functional.
- No ultrasound sensation: Ultrasound therapy typically does not produce a strong sensation. Ensure sufficient ultrasound gel is applied and the treatment head is in full contact with the skin. Verify that the device is powered on and a program is running.
- Error message on LCD: Refer to the specific error code in the full product manual (if available) or contact customer support. Try restarting the device.
- Treatment head not recognized: Ensure the treatment head is securely connected to the main unit. Disconnect and reconnect it firmly.
