Installation

Mounting Instructions

  1. Select a suitable mounting location on the ceiling or wall, away from corners and vents.

  3. Drill holes and insert wall plugs if necessary.
  4. Secure the mounting bracket to the ceiling/wall using the provided screws.
  5. Attach the smoke detector to the mounting bracket by twisting it clockwise until it clicks into place.
  6. Ensure the detector is firmly attached.

Operation

Initial Activation

The smoke detector is activated upon installation when twisted onto its mounting base. The sealed battery is designed for 10 years of operation.

Testing the Detector

It is recommended to test your smoke detector weekly to ensure proper function.

  1. Press and hold the "TEST" button located on the front of the detector.
  2. The alarm will sound, and the LED indicator will flash.
  3. Release the button. The alarm should stop.

Sleep Easy Feature

If the detector emits a low battery chirp during inconvenient times (e.g., at night), you can temporarily silence it for 8 hours.

  1. Press the multi-function center button (TEST button).
  2. The low battery beep will be suspended for eight hours.

This feature is designed to provide temporary relief, but the detector must be replaced as soon as possible when the low battery warning occurs.

Maintenance

Cleaning
