5. Setup
5.1 Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the device.
- Slide or unclip the cover to open the compartment.
- Insert one 9V 6F22 battery, ensuring the correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.

6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Power On/Off
- To power on the device, press the Power button (yellow circle with 'I').
- To power off, press and hold the Power button until the display turns off. The device also features an auto power-off function to conserve battery.
6.2 Function Selection (FUNC Button)
Press the FUNC button to cycle through different measurement modes:
- Wind Speed Measurement
- Air Volume Measurement (CFM, CMM, CMS)
- Temperature and Humidity Measurement
6.3 Unit Selection (UNIT Button)
In wind speed mode, press the UNIT button to switch between different wind speed units (m/s, ft/m, km/h, mile/h, Knots, ft/s). In temperature mode, press the UNIT button to switch between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F).
6.4 Data Hold (HOLD/MODE Button)
- Press the HOLD/MODE button briefly to freeze the current reading on the display. The 'HOLD' indicator will appear.
- Press it again to release the data hold and resume live measurements.
6.5 Maximum/Minimum Measurement (MAX/MIN Button)
- Press the MAX/MIN button to display the maximum recorded value since the device was powered on or the function was reset.
- Press it again to display the minimum recorded value.
- Press a third time to exit MAX/MIN mode.
6.6 Backlight Operation
Press the Backlight button (green star/lightbulb icon) to turn the display backlight on or off, improving visibility in low-light conditions.
6.7 USB Data Transfer
Connect the anemometer to a computer using the provided USB cable. The device supports real-time data upload. Refer to the included CD for specific software and driver installation instructions to utilize this feature.

7. Maintenance
7.1 Cleaning
- Wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Ensure the impeller is free from dust and debris for accurate readings. Use a soft brush if necessary.
7.2 Battery Replacement
When the low battery indicator appears on the display, replace the 9V battery as described in Section 5.1.
7.3 Storage
Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Remove the battery if storing for extended periods.
