6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures safe and efficient operation of your patio heater:

  • Cleaning: Clean exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure the heater is cool before cleaning.
  • Reflector: Keep the reflector free of dust and debris to maximize heat output.
  • Burner: Periodically inspect the burner and pilot assembly for spider webs or insect nests, which can obstruct gas flow. Clean with a soft brush if necessary.
  • Gas Hose: Inspect the gas hose for signs of wear, cuts, or cracks before each use. Replace if damaged.
  • Storage: When not in use for extended periods, disconnect the propane tank and store it in a well-ventilated area outdoors. Cover the heater with a weather-resistant cover to protect it from the elements.
