  • Plug the refrigerator into a dedicated, grounded electrical outlet. Do not use multi-outlet adapters or extension cords.
  • Allow the refrigerator to stand upright for at least 2-4 hours before plugging it in to allow refrigerants to settle.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Initial Operation

After plugging in the unit, allow it to cool down for approximately 2-3 hours before placing food inside. This ensures the compartments reach optimal temperatures.

4.2 Temperature Control

The temperature control dial is typically located inside the fresh food compartment. Adjust the dial to your desired setting. Higher numbers usually indicate colder temperatures. Start with a medium setting and adjust as needed based on food load and ambient temperature.

4.3 Food Storage Guidelines

  • Store raw meat and poultry on the lowest shelf to prevent drips onto other foods.
  • Use the crisper drawer for fresh fruits and vegetables.
  • Ensure all food items are properly sealed to maintain freshness and prevent odors.
  • Do not overload the refrigerator, as this can impede air circulation and cooling efficiency.

5.1 Cleaning

  1. Unplug the refrigerator before cleaning.
  2. Clean the interior with a solution of mild detergent and warm water. Wipe dry with a soft cloth.
  3. Remove shelves and drawers for thorough cleaning. They can be washed with warm soapy water.
  4. Clean the exterior surfaces with a soft cloth and mild detergent.
  5. Periodically vacuum the condenser coils at the back of the unit to ensure efficient operation.

5.2 Defrosting

This model features an automatic defrost system for the fresh food compartment. The freezer compartment may require manual defrosting if ice buildup becomes excessive. To manually defrost the freezer:

  1. Turn off the refrigerator and unplug it from the power outlet.
  2. Remove all food items from the freezer and place them in a cooler.
  3. Leave the freezer door open to allow ice to melt naturally. Place towels at the bottom to absorb water.
  4. Do not use sharp objects or heating devices to speed up defrosting, as this can damage the unit.
  5. Once defrosted, clean and dry the interior thoroughly before plugging the unit back in.

5.3 Power Outages

In case of a power outage, keep the refrigerator doors closed to maintain internal temperature for as long as possible. Food should remain frozen for approximately 24 hours if the doors are kept closed.
