1. Important Safety Instructions

Please read this entire instruction manual carefully before using your PURLINE HOTI T40 Ceramic Tower Heater. Failure to follow these instructions may result in fire, electric shock, injury, or property damage. Keep this manual for future reference.

  • Read All Instructions: Before operating the heater, read all instructions thoroughly.
  • Proper Placement: Always place the heater on a firm, level surface. Do not place it on soft surfaces like beds or rugs where openings may be blocked.
  • Avoid Obstructions: Keep combustible materials such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains at least 1 meter (3 feet) from the front, sides, and rear of the heater.
  • Indoor Use Only: This heater is intended for indoor use only. Do not use it outdoors.
  • Electrical Connection: Plug heaters directly into a wall outlet. Never use with an extension cord or relocatable power tap (outlet/power strip).
  • Power Off When Unattended: Always unplug the heater when not in use.
  • No Wet Hands: Do not handle the heater or its plug with wet hands.
  • Supervision: Close supervision is necessary when any heater is used by or near children or individuals with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities.
  • Ventilation: Ensure adequate ventilation. Do not block air intakes or exhaust openings.
  • Overheating Protection: This heater is equipped with an automatic overheat protection system. If the heater overheats, it will automatically shut off. Unplug the heater, allow it to cool for 30 minutes, then plug it back in.
  • Tip-Over Switch: The heater includes a safety tip-over switch that automatically turns off the unit if it is accidentally tipped over.

3.1. Control Panel and Remote Control

3.2. Control Panel Functions

  • Digital Display: Shows current temperature, timer settings, and operating mode.
  • ON/OFF Button: Powers the unit on or off.
  • Heat Mode Button: Selects between low (1300W) and high (2000W) heat settings.
  • Temperature Adjustment Buttons (Temp): Increases or decreases the desired temperature.
  • Timer Button (Timer): Activates and sets the 24-hour timer.
  • Oscillation Button (Swing): Toggles the oscillation function to distribute heat.

3.3. Remote Control Functions

  • ON/OFF: Powers the unit on or off.
  • Heat: Cycles through heat settings (Low, High).

  • Swing: Activates or deactivates the oscillation function.
  • Timer: Sets the operating timer.

4. Setup

4.1. Unpacking

  1. Carefully remove the heater from its packaging.
  2. Retain the packaging for off-season storage or if transport is required.
  3. Check for any damage. If the heater appears damaged, do not operate it and contact customer support.

4.2. Placement

  • Place the heater on a stable, flat, and heat-resistant surface.
  • Ensure there is at least 1 meter (3 feet) of clear space around the heater from walls, furniture, and other objects to allow for proper airflow and prevent fire hazards.
  • Do not place the heater directly below a power outlet.
  • Ensure the power cord is not trapped or pinched under the heater or against any sharp edges.

5. Operating Instructions

Follow these steps to operate your PURLINE HOTI T40 heater.

5.1. Power On/Off

  1. Plug the heater directly into a 220V AC wall outlet.
  2. Ensure the main power switch located at the back of the heater (Figure 2.2) is in the 'ON' position.
  3. Press the ON/OFF button on the control panel or remote control to turn the heater on. The digital display will illuminate.
  4. To turn off, press the ON/OFF button again. For complete power disconnection, switch off the main power switch at the back and unplug the unit.

5.2. Adjusting Heat Settings

  • After turning on the heater, press the Heat Mode button (or 'Heat' on the remote) to cycle through the available power levels: Low (1300W) and High (2000W).
  • The selected power level will be indicated on the digital display.

5.3. Temperature Control (Thermostat)

  • Press the Temperature Adjustment buttons (up/down arrows or 'Temp' on the remote) to set your desired room temperature.
  • The heater will automatically adjust its operation to maintain the set temperature, turning on and off as needed.

5.4. Timer Function

  • Press the Timer button on the control panel or remote.
  • Use the temperature adjustment buttons to set the desired operating duration, from 1 to 24 hours.
  • The heater will automatically turn off once the set time has elapsed.

5.5. Oscillation Function

  • Press the Oscillation button (or 'Swing' on the remote) to activate the heater's oscillation feature.
  • The heater will rotate from side to side, distributing warm air more broadly. Press the button again to stop oscillation.

5.6. Child Lock

  • To prevent unintended changes to settings, press the Lock button on the remote control.
  • This will disable the control panel buttons. Press the Lock button again to unlock.

6. Maintenance and Care

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your heater.

  • Always Unplug: Before cleaning or performing any maintenance, always turn off the heater, unplug it from the wall outlet, and allow it to cool completely.
  • Cleaning the Exterior: Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe the exterior surfaces of the heater. Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or polishes as these may damage the finish.
  • Cleaning Air Intakes/Outlets: Use a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment to remove dust and lint from the air intake and outlet grilles. Do not insert any objects into the grilles.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the heater in a cool, dry place, preferably in its original packaging, to protect it from dust and damage.
  • No Water Immersion: Never immerse the heater in water or any other liquid.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your heater, refer to the following table for common problems and solutions.
