Setup and Time Setting

To set the time and date on your Timex Expedition Gallatin watch, follow these steps:

  1. Pull the Crown: Gently pull the crown (the small knob on the side of the watch case) out to the first or second position.
    • First Position: For setting the date (if applicable). Turn the crown clockwise or counter-clockwise until the correct date appears.
    • Second Position: For setting the time. Turn the crown to move the hour and minute hands. Advance the hands past 12 o'clock to determine if it's AM or PM for the date change.
  2. Set the Time: Continue turning the crown until the desired time is displayed.
  3. Push the Crown Back: Once the time and date are set, push the crown back into its original position against the watch case to start the watch and ensure water resistance.

Operating the Indiglo Night-Light

Your Timex Expedition Gallatin watch features the Indiglo night-light for easy time reading in low-light conditions.

  • Activate Indiglo: Press and hold the crown (the same knob used for setting time) to illuminate the watch dial. The light will remain on as long as the crown is pressed.

Maintenance and Care

  • Cleaning: Regularly wipe your watch with a soft, damp cloth. For the silicone strap, mild soap and water can be used. Ensure the watch is dry before wearing.
  • Battery Replacement: The watch uses 1 Lithium Metal battery. Battery replacement should be performed by a qualified watch technician to maintain water resistance.
  • Avoid Extreme Temperatures: Do not expose your watch to extreme hot or cold temperatures for extended periods, as this can affect battery life and watch performance.
  • Chemicals: Avoid contact with solvents, detergents, perfumes, and cosmetic products, as they may damage the case, strap, or gaskets.
