  1. Pull the crown (the small knob on the side of the watch case) out to the furthest position. The second hand will stop.
  2. Turn the crown clockwise or counter-clockwise to set the hour and minute hands to the correct time.
  3. Once the time is set, push the crown back into its original position. The second hand will resume movement.

2.2 Adjusting the Band

Your watch comes with an adjustable two-tone stainless steel expansion band and an additional black leather strap. The expansion band is designed to fit wrist circumferences from 6 to 7.5 inches.

2.2.1 Expansion Band Adjustment

The expansion band is designed to stretch for easy wearing. For a more precise fit, links may need to be added or removed. This procedure often requires specialized tools and is best performed by a qualified jeweler or watch technician to avoid damage to the band or watch.

2.3 Battery Information

3. Operation

3.1 Indiglo Light-Up Dial

Your Timex watch features the Indiglo night-light function. To activate the Indiglo light, press and hold the crown. The entire dial will illuminate for easy viewing in low-light conditions.

3.2 Water Resistance

This watch is water resistant to 30 meters (100 feet). This means it is suitable for splashes or brief immersion in water. It is not suitable for swimming, bathing, or diving. Avoid pressing the crown or operating the Indiglo feature while the watch is wet or submerged, as this can compromise the water resistance.

4. Maintenance

4.1 General Care

  • Clean your watch regularly with a soft, dry cloth.
  • Avoid exposing the watch to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight for prolonged periods, or strong magnetic fields.
  • Avoid contact with chemicals, solvents, or detergents, as these can damage the watch case, crystal, or strap.

As mentioned in the setup section, battery replacement should be performed by a professional watch repair service. This ensures the correct battery type is used and the watch's water resistance is maintained after the case back is opened and resealed.
