Setup
Preparing the Receiver Collar
Before placing the receiver collar on your dog, ensure the appropriate contact points are installed. For dogs with short hair, use the shorter contact points. For dogs with long or thick hair, use the longer contact points to ensure proper contact with the skin. You may also install the provided rubber caps over the contact points to reduce the intensity of the shock, if desired.

Adjusting the Collar Fit
The collar should fit snugly on your dog's neck to ensure the contact points touch the skin. You should be able to fit two fingers comfortably between the collar strap and your dog's neck. A loose collar may not deliver consistent stimulation, while a too-tight collar can cause discomfort.

If the collar strap is too long, you can trim the excess length with scissors after ensuring the correct fit. This prevents the dog from chewing on the excess strap.
