5. Setup (Installation Instructions)

This fixture is 95% pre-assembled for your convenience. Only simple assembly and electrical installation are required.

Tools Required:

  • Screwdriver (Phillips and Flathead)
  • Wire Strippers
  • Electrical Tape
  • Ladder
  • Safety Glasses

Pre-Installation Steps:

  1. Turn off power at the main circuit breaker or fuse box. Ensure the power is completely off before proceeding.
  2. Carefully unpack all components and inspect them for any damage.
  3. Familiarize yourself with the parts and the installation diagram provided.

Assembly and Electrical Installation:

  1. Step 1: Attach the mounting plate to the ceiling junction box using the provided screws. Ensure it is securely fastened.
  2. Step 2: Connect the fixture's wires to the house wiring. Connect the black wire from the fixture to the black wire from the ceiling (live/hot). Connect the white wire from the fixture to the white wire from the ceiling (neutral). Connect the ground wire from the fixture to the ground wire from the ceiling. Use wire nuts to secure all connections and wrap with electrical tape for added safety.
  3. Step 3: Carefully tuck all wires into the junction box.
  4. Step 4: Attach the fixture's canopy to the mounting plate, securing it with the decorative nuts.
  5. Step 5: Adjust the hanging rods to your desired height. The height can be adjusted from a minimum of 23 inches to a maximum of 46 inches.
  6. Step 6: Install the clear glass shades onto the fixture.
  7. Step 7: Screw in E26 base light bulbs (not included) into each of the five sockets. Do not exceed 60W per bulb; 40W is recommended for optimal performance and longevity.

Post-Installation:

Once installation is complete, restore power at the main circuit breaker. Test the light fixture to ensure proper operation.

6. Operating Instructions

Your TWIG 5-Light Farmhouse Linear Chandelier is designed for straightforward operation.

  • Ensure all five E26 base bulbs are securely installed in their sockets.
  • Operate the light fixture using your standard wall switch.
  • If you wish to use a dimmer function, ensure you install dimmable E26 bulbs and have a compatible dimmer switch (not included) installed in your electrical system.

7. Care and Maintenance

Proper care will ensure the longevity and appearance of your chandelier.

Cleaning:

  1. Always turn off the power supply to the fixture at the circuit breaker and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.

  3. Glass shades can be carefully removed and washed with mild soap and water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely before reattaching them to the fixture.

Bulb Replacement:

  1. Turn off the power supply to the fixture at the circuit breaker.
  2. Allow the bulbs to cool down completely before touching them.
  3. Carefully unscrew the old bulb from its socket.
  4. Screw in a new E26 base bulb, ensuring it does not exceed the maximum recommended wattage of 60W (40W recommended).
