Maintenance
Cleaning Your Watch
Clean your watch regularly with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive materials, as these can damage the watch case or strap.
Water Resistance
Your Timex Command Encounter watch is water-resistant to 100 meters (10 ATM). This means it is suitable for showering, swimming, and snorkeling. Important: Do not press any buttons while the watch is submerged in water, as this can compromise the water resistance.
Battery Replacement

This image shows the back of the watch, where the battery compartment is located. The watch uses one CR2025 battery. When the display dims, becomes erratic, or stops functioning, it is likely time for a battery replacement. It is highly recommended to have battery replacement performed by a qualified watch technician to ensure the watch's water resistance is properly maintained after the battery compartment is opened.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Solution |
|---|---|
| Watch display is blank or dim. | The battery may be low or depleted. Replace the CR2025 battery. |
| Buttons are unresponsive. | Ensure the watch is not in a locked mode (refer to specific model features if applicable). If the issue persists, the battery may be low. |
| Time is incorrect. | Re-set the time and date following the instructions in the "Setting Time and Date" section. |
