User Manual

Introduction

The GENMAX GM3500iAD Portable Inverter Generator is designed to provide reliable and clean power for various applications, including emergency home backup, job site use, and outdoor activities like camping and RV travel. This dual-fuel generator operates on both gasoline and propane, offering flexibility and convenience.

It features a powerful 145cc 4-stroke OHV engine, delivering 3500 peak watts and 3200 rated watts on gasoline, and 3100 peak watts and 2800 rated watts on propane. The inverter technology ensures clean electricity (less than 3% THD), making it safe for sensitive electronics. Its lightweight and compact design, along with a telescopic rod and rolling wheels, ensure easy portability.

Safety Information

Always operate the generator in a well-ventilated area to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning. The generator is equipped with a CO Detect system that automatically shuts off the unit if unsafe levels of carbon monoxide are detected. Ensure proper grounding before operation.

Setup

Adding Engine Oil

Before first use, or after an oil change, ensure the generator has the correct amount of 10W-30 engine oil. Remove the right outer cover by releasing the knob. Unscrew the oil dipstick and fill with engine oil using the provided funnel. The oil level should be between the ruler grid on the dipstick. Replace the dipstick and fully tighten.

Adding Gasoline

Remove the fuel tank cap and add unleaded gasoline. Do not exceed the filter red line. When refueling, do not remove the fuel filter from the refueling port.

Connecting an LPG Tank

Ensure the LPG tank valve is closed before connecting the LPG hose to the LPG inlet of the generator. Tighten the LPG hose securely.

Operating Instructions

Control Panel Overview

The digital display center provides real-time information on hours, voltage, frequency, and load. It also features indicator lights for power, overload, and low oil, along with a CO Alert system.
