1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the NORTHCLAN 15L Mini Fridge. This versatile appliance is designed to keep your items cool or warm, making it ideal for home, office, bedroom, car, and travel use. Please read this manual thoroughly before operation to ensure proper use, maintenance, and safety.

2. Safety Information

  • Ensure proper ventilation around the unit. Do not block air vents.
  • Do not immerse the unit in water or other liquids.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • Unplug the unit before cleaning or if not in use for an extended period.
  • Do not use if the power cord or plug is damaged.
  • Avoid placing hot items directly into the cold mode or vice versa without allowing a transition period (approx. 30 minutes with unit off).
  • The unit produces white noise from its fan during operation. This is normal.

5. Setup

  1. Unpack the Unit: Carefully remove the mini fridge and all accessories from the packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport.
  2. Choose a Location: Place the mini fridge on a flat, stable surface. Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the unit (at least 2-3 inches of space on all sides, especially the back where the fan is located). Avoid direct sunlight or heat sources.
  3. Connect Power:
    • For Home/Office (AC 110V): Ensure the 'HOT' and 'COLD' switches on the back are in the 'OFF' position. Connect the AC power cord to the unit's AC input and then to a standard wall outlet.
    • For Car/Travel (DC 12V): Ensure the 'HOT' and 'COLD' switches on the back are in the 'OFF' position. Connect the 12V DC car charge plug to the unit's DC input and then to your vehicle's 12V cigarette lighter socket.
  4. Initial Operation: After connecting power, select your desired mode (COLD or HOT) using the switches on the back panel. Allow 30 minutes for the unit to reach its optimal temperature.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Cooling Mode

  • Ensure the unit is connected to the appropriate power source (AC or DC).
  • Flip the 'COLD' switch to the 'ON' position. The green indicator light will illuminate.
  • The fridge will cool items to 59-68℉ (15-20℃) below ambient temperature, reaching as low as 37.4℉ (3℃).
  • For best results, pre-chill items before placing them in the fridge.

6.2. Warming Mode

  • Ensure the unit is connected to the appropriate power source (AC or DC).
  • Flip the 'HOT' switch to the 'ON' position. The red indicator light will illuminate.
  • The fridge will warm items up to 149°F (65°C).
  • This mode is ideal for keeping food warm, not for heating cold food.

6.3. Loading and Storage

  • The internal shelf is removable. Slide it out if you need to store taller items.
  • Utilize the door basket for smaller items like skincare products or medical face masks.

7. Maintenance

7.1. Cleaning

  • Always unplug the unit before cleaning.
  • Wipe the interior and exterior with a soft cloth and mild detergent.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals.
  • Ensure the unit is completely dry before plugging it back in.

7.2. Defrosting

  • While the unit features automatic defrost, ice buildup may occur, especially with frequent opening or in humid environments.
  • If ice buildup is observed, unplug the unit and allow the ice to melt naturally.
  • Wipe away any melted water with a clean cloth.

7.3. Storage

  • When not in use, ensure the unit is clean and dry.
