Key Features:
- Automatic Winding Movement: Self-winding mechanism powered by wrist motion.
- Durable Construction: 316L Stainless Steel case and bracelet.
- Scratch-Resistant Crystal: Synthetic Sapphire Crystal glass.
- Water Resistance: 100 meters (330 feet), suitable for swimming and snorkeling.
- Secure Clasp: Push Button Foldover Clasp with Safety.
Setup
1. Initial Winding
Your automatic watch is powered by the movement of your wrist. Before wearing it for the first time, or if it has stopped due to inactivity, it requires an initial manual winding.
- Ensure the crown is in its fully pushed-in position (Position 0).
- Rotate the crown clockwise approximately 30-40 times. This will build up a power reserve to start the watch.
- The watch should now begin to run.
2. Setting the Time
- Pull the crown out to Position 2 (the outermost position). The second hand will stop.
- Rotate the crown to set the hour and minute hands to the desired time. To avoid confusion between AM and PM, advance the time until the date changes (if applicable), then set the correct time.
- Once the time is set, push the crown back into Position 0. The second hand will resume movement.

3. Bracelet Adjustment
The stainless steel bracelet can be adjusted to fit your wrist. If the bracelet is too loose or too tight, it may require links to be added or removed. This procedure often requires specialized tools and is best performed by a professional watchmaker or jeweler to prevent damage.
Operating the Watch
Automatic Movement
The PD-1728 watch is equipped with an automatic (self-winding) mechanical movement. This means it does not require a battery. The movement is powered by the natural motion of your arm and wrist. When worn daily, the watch will continuously wind itself, maintaining its power reserve. If the watch is not worn for an extended period (typically 36-40 hours), it will stop. Simply re-wind it manually as described in the "Initial Winding" section, or wear it for a few hours to restart the movement.
Water Resistance (100 Meters)
This watch is water-resistant up to 100 meters (10 ATM or 330 feet). This rating makes it suitable for everyday use, including hand washing, rain exposure, showering, swimming, and snorkeling. It is not suitable for scuba diving or high-impact water sports. Always ensure the crown is fully pushed in before any contact with water. Avoid operating the crown or pushers (if present) while the watch is wet or submerged.

Maintenance
Cleaning Your Watch
To maintain the appearance of your watch, regularly wipe the case and bracelet with a soft, dry cloth. For more thorough cleaning, especially after exposure to saltwater or sweat, use a slightly damp cloth and mild soap, then rinse with fresh water and dry thoroughly. Ensure the crown is fully closed before cleaning with water.
General Care
- Avoid Shocks: While durable, avoid dropping your watch or subjecting it to strong impacts.
- Temperature Extremes: Do not expose your watch to extreme temperatures (above 60°C / 140°F or below 0°C / 32°F) or sudden temperature changes.
- Magnetic Fields: Keep your watch away from strong magnetic fields (e.g., speakers, refrigerators, mobile phones, airport security scanners) as these can affect the accuracy of the mechanical movement.
- Chemicals: Avoid contact with solvents, detergents, perfumes, and cosmetic products, as they can damage the bracelet, case, or gaskets.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Watch has stopped or is running slowly. | Insufficient power reserve. | Manually wind the watch (30-40 turns of the crown) or wear it consistently for several hours. |
| Watch is inaccurate. | Exposure to strong magnetic fields or in need of service. | Keep away from magnetic sources. If inaccuracy persists, consult a professional watchmaker for demagnetization or service. |
| Bracelet is too tight or too loose. | Incorrect sizing for wrist. | Have the bracelet adjusted by a professional watchmaker or jeweler. |
