Operating the Floodlight Mount

The Floodlight Mount enhances your Blink Outdoor 4 camera's capabilities with powerful illumination.

1. Motion-Triggered Lighting

When motion is detected by your Blink Outdoor 4 camera, the Floodlight Mount's 700-lumen LED lights will automatically activate, illuminating the area. You will also receive notifications on your smartphone via the Blink app.

2. Manual Control via Blink App

You can manually control the floodlight's illumination and your Blink Outdoor 4 camera directly from the Blink Home Monitor app. This allows you to turn the lights on or off as needed, independent of motion detection.

3. Alexa Integration

When connected to your Blink Outdoor 4 camera, the Floodlight Mount can be controlled using Alexa-enabled devices. You can use voice commands to:

  • Stream HD live video from your camera.
  • Arm and disarm your Blink system.
  • Activate the floodlight's lights.
  • And more, depending on available Alexa skills for Blink.

Maintenance

1. Battery Replacement

The Floodlight Mount is powered by four D-Cell alkaline batteries, offering up to two years of battery life under default settings. Battery life may vary based on usage and environmental factors. When battery levels are low, you will receive a notification via the Blink app. Replace all four batteries simultaneously with new D-Cell alkaline batteries.

2. Cleaning

To maintain optimal performance and appearance, periodically clean the Floodlight Mount. Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe down the exterior. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, which can damage the finish or electronic components.
