Maintenance

Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your ice maker.

  1. Daily Cleaning: After each use, drain any remaining water from the reservoir by removing the drain plug at the bottom of the unit. Wipe the interior with a soft, damp cloth.
  2. Weekly Cleaning: For a more thorough cleaning, prepare a solution of water and a small amount of mild detergent. Clean the ice basket, ice scoop, and the interior surfaces that come into contact with water. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
  3. Descaling (Monthly/Bi-monthly): Over time, mineral deposits from water can build up. To descale, mix water with white vinegar (1:1 ratio) or a commercial descaling solution. Pour into the reservoir and run a few ice-making cycles (discard the ice). Then, drain and rinse thoroughly with clean water several times.
  4. External Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  5. Storage: If the ice maker will not be used for an extended period, drain all water, clean the unit thoroughly, and allow it to air dry completely before storing in a cool, dry place.
