EVGATSAUTO Universal 12V Car Immobilizer Bypass Module User Manual

Model: B0B9XMSD3Z

Introduction

The EVGATSAUTO Universal 12V Car Immobilizer Bypass Module is designed to bypass the vehicle's immobilizer system, allowing for the use of remote start systems, car alarms, and engine on/off buttons with vehicles equipped with chip keys. This module provides a solution for integrating aftermarket remote start systems without requiring an additional programmed key to be permanently installed in the vehicle.

Important Note: This module is compatible with most chip key cars. It is not designed for use with other types of immobilizers. Professional installation is recommended.

Product Features

  • Bypasses the immobilizer chip on an OEM key or fob to support remote start, car alarm, engine on/off button, and key duplication.
  • Features a simple two-wire connection for straightforward installation.
  • Designed for universal compatibility with most chip key cars.
  • Provides stable performance for reliable operation.

Setup and Installation

  1. Prepare the Module: Open the bypass module unit. If your vehicle's chip key is larger than the internal space of the module, carefully remove the transponder chip or the entire PCB from your key and place it inside the module's casing. Secure it with the provided double-sided adhesive tape to prevent movement.

  3. Connect Wiring Harness: Connect the provided two-wire harness to the bypass module. The red wire typically connects to a 12V ignition source, and the black wire to ground. Consult your vehicle's wiring diagram for specific connection points.

  5. Install Transponder Loop: The transponder loop antenna needs to be positioned around the ignition key cylinder. It should go underneath the steering column and up towards the ignition key cylinder. Ensure the loop makes approximately two turns around the vehicle's transponder antenna ring. The vehicle's transponder ring is typically a black plastic ring located around the outside of the ignition lock cylinder where the key is inserted.

Operating Instructions

Once correctly installed, the EVGATSAUTO Universal 12V Car Immobilizer Bypass Module operates automatically in conjunction with your remote start or alarm system. When the remote start or alarm system activates, the bypass module will temporarily disable the vehicle's immobilizer, allowing the engine to start. The module remains active only when required by the connected system.

Maintenance

The Immobilizer Bypass Module requires minimal maintenance. Ensure the module is securely mounted and all connections remain firm. Periodically check for any signs of wear or damage to the wiring or the transponder loop. Keep the module free from dust and moisture.

Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Engine does not start with remote.
  • Incorrect wiring connections.
  • Transponder chip not correctly placed or secured in the module.
  • Transponder loop not correctly positioned around the ignition cylinder.
  • Module not receiving power.
  • Verify all wiring connections (power, ground) are secure and correct according to your vehicle's diagram.
  • Open the module and ensure the transponder chip/PCB is firmly in place and making proper contact.
  • Adjust the transponder loop antenna to ensure it is tightly wrapped around the ignition cylinder's antenna ring (2 turns recommended).
  • Check power supply to the module.
Intermittent starting issues.
  • Loose connections.
  • Key chip position inside the module is temperamental.
  • Interference with the transponder signal.
  • Inspect all wiring for loose connections and secure them.
  • Re-position the key chip or PCB inside the module, ensuring it is stable and optimally aligned for signal transmission.
  • Ensure no other electronic devices are interfering with the transponder loop.
