Setup

Follow these steps to set up your atomic wall clock:

  1. Install Batteries: Open the battery compartment on the back of the clock. Insert the two AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+ and -). The clock will power on and begin searching for the atomic signal.
  2. Initial Synchronization: The clock will automatically attempt to synchronize with the NIST atomic clock signal. This process may take several minutes to several hours, depending on your location and signal strength. For best reception, place the clock near a window, away from electronic devices that may cause interference.
  3. Select Time Zone: Once the time is set, use the TIME ZONE button on the back of the clock to select your local time zone. The clock supports Pacific, Mountain, Central, Eastern, Atlantic, Newfoundland, Alaska, and Hawaii standard times.
  4. Daylight Saving Time (DST): Use the DST button to enable or disable Daylight Saving Time. The clock can automatically adjust for DST if the atomic signal is received.
