2. Safety Instructions

  • Read all instructions before operating the appliance.
  • Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
  • To protect against fire, electric shock, and injury to persons, do not immerse cord, plugs, or appliance in water or other liquid.

  • Scalding may occur if the lid is removed during the brewing cycle.

4. Setup

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove all packaging materials and components.
  2. Clean: Before first use, wash the glass carafe, lid, and reusable filter in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker with a damp cloth.
  3. First Brew Cycle (Cleaning):
    • Fill the water reservoir to the MAX line with fresh, cold water.
    • Place the empty reusable filter into the filter basket.
    • Place the glass carafe with its lid on the heating plate.
    • Plug the coffee maker into a standard electrical outlet.
    • Press the power button to start a brewing cycle without coffee.
    • Once the cycle is complete, discard the water from the carafe.
    • Repeat this process once more to ensure thorough cleaning.

5. Operating Instructions

  1. Fill Water Reservoir: Open the top lid of the coffee maker. Fill the glass carafe with the desired amount of fresh, cold water (up to 1.5 liters). Pour the water into the water reservoir. The water level indicator on the side will show the amount of water added.

  3. Add Ground Coffee: Place the reusable filter into the filter basket. Add your desired amount of ground coffee to the filter. A general guideline is one tablespoon of ground coffee per cup (150ml). Close the top lid securely.
  4. Place Carafe: Ensure the glass carafe with its lid is correctly positioned on the heating plate.
  5. Start Brewing: Plug the coffee maker into a standard electrical outlet. Press the power button. The indicator light will illuminate, signaling that the brewing process has started.
  6. Anti-drip Function: The anti-drip feature allows you to temporarily remove the carafe during brewing to pour a cup of coffee. The flow of coffee will pause. Return the carafe to the heating plate within 30 seconds to prevent overflow.
  7. Keep Warm Function: After the brewing cycle is complete, the coffee maker will automatically switch to the keep warm function, maintaining the coffee's temperature for approximately 40 minutes. The indicator light will remain on during this period.
  8. Serving: Carefully remove the carafe from the heating plate and pour your coffee.
  9. Turn Off: After serving or when the keep warm cycle ends, press the power button to turn off the coffee maker and unplug it from the outlet.

6. Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your coffee maker.

  1. Daily Cleaning:
    • Always unplug the coffee maker before cleaning and allow it to cool completely.
    • Remove the glass carafe, its lid, and the reusable filter. Wash these parts in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. These parts are generally top-rack dishwasher safe, but hand washing is recommended for longevity.
    • Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads. Never immerse the main unit in water or any other liquid.
    • Clean the heating plate with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive materials.
  2. Decalcification (Monthly or as needed): Mineral deposits from water can affect coffee maker performance.
    • Mix 1 part white vinegar with 2 parts water. Fill the water reservoir with this solution up to the MAX line.
    • Place the empty reusable filter in the filter basket and the empty carafe on the heating plate.
    • Run a brewing cycle. After about half the solution has brewed through, turn off the coffee maker and let it soak for at least 15 minutes.
    • Turn the coffee maker back on and let the remaining solution brew through.
    • Discard the solution and run 2-3 cycles with fresh, cold water to rinse thoroughly and remove any vinegar odor.

7. Troubleshooting
