Setup
1. Install Batteries
Open the battery compartment on the back of the sensor. Insert the two included AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity. Close the compartment securely.
2. Download and Install the App
Download either the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app from your mobile device's app store (Google Play Store for Android or Apple App Store for iOS). Register or log in to your account.
3. Connect to WiFi
- Ensure your mobile device is connected to a 2.4GHz WiFi network. The sensor does not support 5GHz WiFi.
- Open the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app.
- Tap "Add Device" or the "+" icon to add a new device.
- Select "Sensor" or "Temperature & Humidity Sensor" from the device list.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to put the sensor into pairing mode (usually involves pressing and holding a button on the device until an indicator light flashes).
- Confirm the indicator light is flashing rapidly in the app.
- Enter your 2.4GHz WiFi network password.
- Wait for the app to connect to the device. Once connected, you can rename the sensor for easy identification.
4. Placement and Mounting
The sensor can be placed on a tabletop or mounted on a wall using the provided sticker or screws. Choose a location that provides accurate readings for the area you wish to monitor, avoiding direct sunlight or heat sources.

Operating Instructions
1. Remote Monitoring
Once connected, open the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app to view real-time temperature and humidity data from your sensor. You can monitor conditions anytime, anywhere, as long as your sensor is connected to WiFi and your phone has internet access.

2. Temperature Unit Switch
You can switch the temperature unit between Celsius (℃) and Fahrenheit (℉) within the app settings. After changing the unit in the app, press the reset button on the sensor once to apply the change.

3. Smart Scene Automation
The sensor can be used as a data source for creating smart scenes within the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app.
- Alerts: Set up alerts to be sent to your phone when temperature or humidity exceeds or falls below preset values.
- Device Control: Link the sensor with other smart devices (e.g., smart plugs, air conditioners, dehumidifiers). For example, you can configure a scene to automatically turn on an air conditioner when the temperature reaches a certain limit, or activate a dehumidifier if humidity rises too high.

4. Voice Control Integration

Maintenance
1. Battery Replacement
The sensor is designed for low power consumption, providing a long standby time. When the battery level is low, you will receive a warning notification through the app. Replace the two AAA batteries promptly to ensure continuous operation.
2. Cleaning
Wipe the sensor with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or immerse the device in water.
Troubleshooting
- Device not connecting to WiFi:
- Ensure your WiFi network is 2.4GHz. The sensor does not support 5GHz networks.
- Verify your WiFi password is correct.
- Make sure the sensor is within range of your WiFi router.
- Try resetting the sensor and attempting the pairing process again.
- Check if your router has too many devices connected, which might prevent new connections.
- Inaccurate readings:
- Ensure the sensor is not placed near direct heat sources (e.g., sunlight, heaters) or cold drafts.
- Some users have reported the ability to calibrate the sensor within the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app settings if minor adjustments are needed. Refer to the app's specific settings for calibration options.
- Device loses connection frequently:
- Check the stability of your 2.4GHz WiFi network.
- Relocate the sensor closer to your WiFi router.
- Ensure there are no physical obstructions (thick walls, large metal objects) between the sensor and the router.
- Verify that the sensor's batteries are not low.
- App notifications not received:
- Check your phone's notification settings for the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app to ensure they are enabled.
- Verify that you have correctly configured the smart scene rules for alerts within the app.
