Setup
- Placement: Place the dispenser on a flat, level, and sturdy surface capable of supporting its weight when a full 5-gallon bottle is installed. Ensure there is adequate clearance around the unit for ventilation.
- Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wipe down the exterior of the dispenser with a soft, damp cloth.
- Install Drip Tray: Slide the drip tray and grill into place at the base of the dispenser.
- Load Water Bottle: Remove the cap from a 3 or 5-gallon Primo water bottle. Carefully lift the bottle and invert it, placing it securely onto the piercing probe on top of the dispenser. Ensure the bottle is seated firmly.
- Initial Flush: Before plugging in the unit, dispense at least 1 liter of water from each faucet (hot, cool, cold) to ensure the reservoirs are filled and to flush out any air. This is crucial for proper operation and to prevent damage to the heating element.
- Power Connection: Plug the dispenser into a grounded 120V AC electrical outlet.
- Activate Heating/Cooling: Locate the power switches on the back of the unit. Turn on the switches for hot and cold water as desired. The indicator lights on the front will illuminate when the unit is heating or cooling.

Operating Instructions
Your Primo water dispenser offers three temperature options: hot, cool, and ice cold.
- Cold Water: Place your glass under the cold water faucet (typically blue). Press the cold water lever to dispense.
- Cool Water: Place your glass under the cool water faucet (typically gray/middle). Press the cool water lever to dispense.
- Hot Water: The hot water faucet (typically red) has a child-resistant safety feature. To dispense hot water, simultaneously push the safety button and press the hot water lever. Release both to stop the flow.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your dispenser.
- Cleaning the Exterior: Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Drip Tray: The drip tray should be emptied and cleaned regularly to prevent overflow and bacterial growth. Simply slide it out, empty, wash with mild soap and water, rinse, and replace.
- Bottle Replacement: When the water bottle is empty, carefully lift it off the dispenser. Dispose of or return the empty bottle according to local regulations. Replace with a new 3 or 5-gallon Primo water bottle.
- Descaling (Recommended Annually): Over time, mineral deposits can build up in the hot water tank. To descale, unplug the unit and allow it to cool. Remove the water bottle. Drain all water from the hot and cold reservoirs. Prepare a descaling solution (e.g., a mixture of white vinegar and water). Pour the solution into the hot water reservoir. Let it sit for 30 minutes, then drain. Rinse thoroughly by flushing with several liters of fresh water.
