4. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your water purifier:

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove the purifier and all accessories from the packaging. Retain packaging for future transport or storage.
  2. Placement: Place the purifier on a stable, level, and dry countertop surface, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Ensure adequate space around the unit for ventilation.
  3. Initial Rinse: Before first use, remove the water tank and rinse it thoroughly with clean water. Reinstall the tank securely.
  4. Fill Water Tank: Fill the removable water tank with potable tap water. Do not exceed the maximum fill line.
  5. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet. The unit will power on and initiate its self-check.
  6. First Use Cycle: Dispense and discard the first 1-2 liters of purified water to flush the system and filters.

Selecting Water Temperature:

The purifier provides three temperature options: Room Temperature, Warm Water, and Hot Water. Use the touch controls on the front panel to select your desired temperature.

Dispensing Water:

Place your cup or container under the dispenser nozzle. Select the desired temperature using the touch panel. Press the dispense button to start the flow of water. Press again to stop.

Smart Auto Wash Cycle:

The purifier is equipped with a Smart Auto Wash Cycle feature that automatically cleans the internal system to maintain water quality. This cycle operates periodically and requires no manual intervention.

Touch Selection Safety Features:

For hot water dispensing, a safety lock mechanism is integrated to prevent accidental burns. Typically, you will need to press and hold a specific button or press a sequence of buttons to unlock and dispense hot water. Refer to the icons on the touch panel for specific instructions.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your water purifier.

Filter Replacement:

The Midea JR1878T-NF uses a 5+ Reverse Osmosis water filter system. The filter is designed to last up to 1000 liters or approximately 1 year, depending on usage and water quality. The unit will typically indicate when a filter change is required.

To replace the filter:

  1. Unplug the purifier from the power outlet.
  2. Remove the water tank.

  4. Twist or unclip the old filter cartridge to remove it.
  5. Insert the new filter cartridge, ensuring it is securely seated.

Cleaning the Water Tank:

Exterior Cleaning:

Wipe the exterior of the purifier with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.

7. Troubleshooting
