2. Setup
2.1 Host Installation
The alarm host can be mounted on a wall for optimal placement. Ensure the bracket is securely fixed to the wall before hanging the main unit.

2.2 SIM Card Insertion
To enable GSM functionality, insert a compatible SIM card into the designated slot on the alarm host. Ensure the chip faces upwards and the notch faces outwards for correct insertion. Press firmly to secure the card in place.

2.3 Setting Language and Time
After powering on the device, navigate through the menu to set your preferred language and the correct date and time. This ensures accurate logging and timely notifications.
2.4 Detector Installation
Proper placement of detectors is crucial for effective security. The kit includes wireless PIR motion sensors and door/window sensors.
- PIR Motion Sensor: Install the infrared motion sensor at a height of approximately 2.2 meters (7.2 feet). The detection angle is 110 degrees. Avoid installing it near windows or strong light/heat sources to prevent false alarms.
- Door/Window Sensor: Install the magnetic door sensor on doors or windows. When the door or window is opened and the system is armed, the host will trigger an alarm.

3. Operating Instructions
3.1 Accessory Pairing
To ensure all components communicate with the main alarm host, they must be paired. Follow the steps below for each accessory type:

- Remote Control:
- Enter the main menu and select "Parts".
- Choose "Remote" and then "Add".
- Press any button on the remote control to initiate pairing. The system will confirm "Learning OK".
- Return to the main interface. The remote control can now arm and disarm the system.
- RFID Tag:
- From the main menu, go to "Parts" and select "RFID".
- Choose "Add".
- Place the RFID tag on the RFID sensing area of the host for pairing. The system will confirm "Learning OK".
- Return to the main interface. The RFID tag can now arm and disarm the system.
- Magnetic Door/Window Sensor:
- Enter the main menu, select "Parts", then "Detector".
- Choose "Add". Select "Door Alarm" in the first line and "Out Arm Active" in the second line.
- Confirm the selection. Separate the two parts of the door sensor to complete pairing.
- After arming, if the door magnet is separated, the host will alarm.
- Infrared Detectors (PIR Sensors):
- First, turn on the switch of the infrared detector and allow it to complete its self-test.
- On the alarm host, enter the main menu, select "Parts", then "Detector".
- Choose "Add". Select "Panic Alarm" in the first line and "24 Hours Active" in the second line.
- Confirm the selection. Then, trigger the infrared detector by swiping your hand in front of it to complete pairing.
- After arming, the infrared detector will trigger the alarm when it senses human body movement.
3.2 Setting Keypad Lock
To prevent unauthorized access to the alarm system's settings, you can enable the keypad lock. This requires a password for operation.

- From the main menu, select "Settings", then "Password".
- You will find two password types: "System" and "User". The initial system password is 6666, and the initial user password is 1234. These can be changed by the user.
- Select "Keypad Lock" and choose "ON" to enable it. You will need to enter the corresponding setting password to confirm.
- If you wish to disable it, select "OFF".
- The keypad lock will take effect after restarting the system.
3.3 Remote Control and Voice Integration
The system offers convenient remote control options and integrates with popular voice assistants.
- Mobile App: Download the dedicated mobile app (available for Android and iOS) to remotely arm/disarm the system, adjust parameters, and manage accessories. The app also pushes arm/disarm messages to your phone.
- Voice Control: The system is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Home. You can use voice commands to arm or disarm the system, and potentially control other integrated smart home devices.

4. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Splenssy Home Alarm Security System, regular maintenance is recommended.
- Cleaning: Periodically wipe down the main unit and detectors with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Battery Check: The system includes a Lithium Polymer battery. Monitor the battery indicator on the LCD screen and replace batteries in wireless accessories (PIR sensors, door sensors, remote controls) as needed to ensure continuous operation.
- Firmware Updates: Check the mobile app or manufacturer's website for any available firmware updates to ensure your system has the latest features and security enhancements.
5. Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your alarm system, refer to the following common troubleshooting tips:
- System Not Arming/Disarming:
- Ensure all sensors are properly closed (e.g., doors/windows with magnetic sensors).
- Check if the remote control batteries are low or if the remote is paired correctly (refer to Section 3.1).
- Verify the keypad lock is not preventing operation without a password (refer to Section 3.2).
- False Alarms:
- For PIR motion sensors, ensure they are not installed near heat sources, direct sunlight, or areas with significant air currents (e.g., vents).
- Check that door/window sensors are securely attached and not easily dislodged.
- No Notifications (SMS/Calls/App):
- Verify the SIM card is correctly inserted and has active service (GSM 2G is required).
- Ensure the alarm host is connected to a stable WiFi network.
- Check app notification settings on your mobile phone.
- Confirm preset alarm phone numbers are correct in the system settings.
- System Freezing or Unresponsive:
- Try restarting the alarm host by unplugging it and plugging it back in.
- Ensure the power adapter is securely connected and providing power.
