Introduction
The BONANO Biometric Gun Safe is designed to provide secure storage and quick access to your firearms. This safe features multiple unlocking methods including biometric fingerprint recognition, a programmable PIN code, and traditional key access. It is constructed from high-strength steel and includes interior padding to protect contents. This manual will guide you through the setup, operation, and maintenance of your new gun safe.
Setup
1. Initial Access and Battery Installation
Upon receiving your safe, use the emergency key to open it for the first time. The keyhole is typically located discreetly on the front panel. Insert the key and turn to unlock.

2. Setting the PIN Code
- With the safe open, locate the 'SET' button inside the safe, usually near the battery compartment.
- Press the 'SET' button. The keypad lights will illuminate.
- Enter your desired 4-6 digit PIN code using the numbered buttons (1-4).
- Press the 'SET' button again to confirm your new PIN code. A confirmation sound or light will indicate successful programming.

3. Enrolling Fingerprints
- With the safe open, press and hold the 'SET' button until the fingerprint sensor light illuminates.
- Place your finger on the fingerprint sensor. Lift and repeat several times, rotating your finger slightly each time, until the safe confirms enrollment (e.g., a green light or beep).
- Repeat the process for any additional fingerprints you wish to enroll. The safe can store multiple fingerprints.

4. Mounting the Safe
For enhanced security, it is recommended to mount the safe to a floor, wall, or inside a wardrobe. The safe includes mounting screws and an anti-theft steel cable for securing it. Ensure the mounting surface is sturdy enough to support the safe and its contents.

3. Unlocking with Emergency Key
In case of battery failure or forgotten codes, insert the emergency key into the keyhole and turn to unlock the safe manually.
4. Mute Function
To activate the mute function, long-press the '1' button on the keypad. This allows for silent operation of the safe, which can be useful in certain situations.

Maintenance
1. Low Battery Reminder
The safe will provide an audible alert or visual indicator when the batteries are running low. Replace all 4*AAA batteries promptly to ensure continuous functionality.
2. Humidity Control
The safe includes a silica gel canister to help absorb moisture and protect your firearms from humidity. Periodically check the canister and reactivate it as needed (typically by heating it in an oven if it changes color, as per silica gel instructions).
3. Cleaning
Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior and interior of the safe. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish or electronic components.
Troubleshooting
1. Alarm Activation
The safe's alarm will activate after 5 incorrect PIN code or fingerprint entries. It can also be set to activate upon violent shaking or attempted forced entry. To silence the alarm, use a correct unlocking method (fingerprint, PIN, or key).
2. Access Issues
If you experience difficulty with fingerprint recognition, ensure your finger is clean and dry, and try different angles. If the PIN code is not working, re-enter it carefully. In any case where electronic access fails, use the emergency key for immediate access.
