2. Safety Information

• Adult Supervision: Children should always be supervised by an adult when using the basketball hoop.
• Proper Installation: Ensure the hoop is installed correctly and securely according to the instructions. The inground anchors must be properly set in concrete.
• Dunking/Hanging: Do not hang on the rim or any part of the system. While the rim is spring-loaded, excessive force or hanging can cause the system to tip over or components to break, leading to severe injury.
• Weight Limit: The maximum user weight for dunking or hanging on the rim is 80kg. Exceeding this limit can compromise the stability and integrity of the system.
• Weather Conditions: Avoid using the system during strong winds, heavy rain, or lightning.
• Regular Inspection: Periodically check all bolts, nuts, and connections for tightness. Inspect the backboard, rim, and pole for any signs of damage or wear. Replace damaged parts immediately.

5. Setup and Installation

Installation of the Pegasi Inground Basketball Hoop requires concrete work for securing the anchors. It is recommended that two adults perform the installation.

5.1 Site Preparation

• Choose a level, clear area for installation, free from overhead obstructions and underground utilities.
• Mark the exact location for the pole.

5.2 Anchor Installation

1. Dig a hole of appropriate dimensions for the inground anchors. Refer to the detailed diagram in the included assembly manual for precise measurements.
2. Position the anchor system in the center of the hole, ensuring it is level and correctly oriented.
3. Pour concrete into the hole, completely encasing the anchors. Ensure the top of the anchor system is flush with the ground or slightly above, as per the specific instructions.
4. Allow the concrete to cure completely according to the concrete manufacturer's instructions (typically 48-72 hours or longer depending on conditions) before proceeding with pole assembly.

5.3 Pole and Backboard Assembly

1. Once the concrete is fully cured, attach the lower pole section to the inground anchor system using the provided hardware.
2. Connect the upper pole section to the lower pole section.
3. Attach the backboard and rim assembly to the upper pole section. This step often requires two people due to the weight and size of the backboard.
4. Secure all bolts and nuts tightly. Do not overtighten to avoid damaging components.
5. Install the pole protection pad around the base of the pole.
6. Attach the nylon net to the rim.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Height Adjustment

The Pegasi Inground Basketball Hoop features a stepless height adjustment mechanism, allowing you to easily change the rim height from 245 cm to 305 cm.

1. Locate the height adjustment mechanism on the pole.
2. Follow the specific instructions provided in the assembly manual for engaging and disengaging the locking mechanism.
3. Carefully raise or lower the backboard and rim to the desired height. Ensure the mechanism is securely locked in place before use.
4. Always ensure the system is stable and locked at the chosen height before allowing play.
