1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your Loncin LC1P75F gasoline engine. 2. Safety Information

Your safety and the safety of others are very important. Always observe the following safety precautions when operating or servicing the engine.

2.1 General Safety

• Read and understand all instructions before operating the engine.
• Ensure the work area is well-ventilated to avoid carbon monoxide poisoning.
• Keep children and pets away from the engine during operation.
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), such as gloves and eye protection.

2.2 Fuel Safety

• Gasoline is highly flammable. Store fuel in approved containers in a cool, well-ventilated area.
• Refuel in a well-ventilated area with the engine off and cool.
• Do not smoke or allow open flames near the engine or fuel tank.
• Wipe up any spilled fuel immediately.

2.3 Hot Surfaces

Engine components, especially the muffler and cylinder head, become very hot during operation and remain hot for a period after the engine is shut off. Avoid contact with hot surfaces to prevent burns.

3. Setup and Pre-Operation Checks

Before starting the engine, perform the following checks to ensure safe and proper operation.

3.1 Unpacking and Inspection

• Carefully remove the engine from its packaging.
• Inspect for any visible damage that may have occurred during shipping. Contact your dealer if damage is found.
• Ensure all included accessories, such as the spark plug wrench (see Figure 4), are present.

3.2 Engine Oil

Important: The engine is shipped without oil. Failure to fill the engine sump with oil before starting will result in permanent damage and void the engine warranty.

1. Place the engine on a level surface.
2. Remove the oil filler cap/dipstick.
3. Add the recommended engine oil (refer to Specifications for type and capacity) until it reaches the upper mark on the dipstick. Do not overfill.
4. Securely replace the oil filler cap/dipstick.

3.3 Fuel

• Use fresh, unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher.
• Fill the fuel tank, ensuring not to overfill. Leave space for fuel expansion.
• Securely replace the fuel cap.

3.4 Air Filter

• Ensure the air filter is clean and properly installed.

4. Operating Instructions

Follow these steps to start and stop your Loncin LC1P75F engine.

4.1 Starting the Engine

1. Ensure the engine is mounted securely to its application (e.g., vibratory plate, motor cultivator).
2. Open the fuel valve (if equipped).
3. Move the choke lever to the 'CHOKE' position (for cold starts). For warm starts, the choke may not be necessary.
4. Move the throttle lever to the 'FAST' position.
5. Pull the recoil starter handle slowly until resistance is felt, then pull briskly. Repeat if necessary.
6. Once the engine starts, gradually move the choke lever to the 'RUN' position as the engine warms up.
7. Adjust the throttle to the desired operating speed.

4.2 Stopping the Engine

1. Move the throttle lever to the 'SLOW' or 'IDLE' position.
2. Move the engine switch to the 'OFF' position.
3. Close the fuel valve (if equipped) for storage or extended periods of non-use.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and optimal performance of your Loncin engine. Always perform maintenance with the engine off and cool.

5.1 Engine Oil Change

• Change the engine oil after the first 20 hours of operation, then every 50 hours or annually, whichever comes first.
• Drain the old oil while the engine is warm to ensure complete drainage.
• Refill with the recommended oil type and quantity (refer to Specifications).

5.2 Air Filter Cleaning/Replacement

• Inspect the air filter every 25 hours or more frequently in dusty conditions.
• Clean the foam element with warm, soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and allow to air dry. Lightly oil the foam element before reinstallation.
• Replace the paper element if it is excessively dirty or damaged.

5.3 Spark Plug Inspection

• Inspect the spark plug every 100 hours or annually.
• Clean carbon deposits with a wire brush.
• Check the electrode gap and adjust if necessary (refer to Specifications for gap setting).
• Replace the spark plug if electrodes are worn or insulation is cracked.

5.4 General Cleaning

• Keep the engine clean, especially cooling fins and air intake areas, to prevent overheating.
• Remove any debris or grass buildup.
