Operating the Watch
1. Chronograph Functions
Your Timex Chronograph watch includes sub-dials for measuring elapsed time. The specific functions of the sub-dials may vary slightly by model, but typically include:
- Seconds Sub-dial: Measures elapsed seconds.
- Minutes Sub-dial: Measures elapsed minutes.
- 24-Hour Sub-dial (if present): Displays time in a 24-hour format.
To operate the chronograph:
- Start: Press the top pusher (button) to start the chronograph. The chronograph second hand will begin to move.
- Stop: Press the top pusher again to stop the chronograph. The elapsed time will be displayed on the sub-dials.
- Reset: After stopping, press the bottom pusher to reset all chronograph hands to their zero positions.
2. INDIGLO Night-Light
The INDIGLO night-light illuminates the entire watch dial for easy reading in low-light conditions. To activate, simply press and hold the crown (the main setting knob) for a few seconds. The light will remain on as long as the crown is pressed.
Maintenance
1. Water Resistance
This watch is water-resistant up to 50 meters (164 feet). This rating means it is suitable for short periods of recreational swimming, showering, or washing hands. It is not suitable for diving, snorkeling, or prolonged water exposure. Always ensure the crown is fully pushed in before any contact with water.
2. Battery Replacement
The watch is powered by one Lithium Metal battery (included). When the watch stops running or the INDIGLO light dims significantly, the battery may need replacement. It is recommended to have the battery replaced by a qualified watch technician to ensure proper sealing and water resistance.
3. Cleaning
To clean your watch, wipe the case and strap with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as these can damage the watch's finish or strap. For leather straps, avoid excessive moisture and direct sunlight to prevent drying and cracking.

Troubleshooting
- Watch not running: Check if the crown is fully pushed in. If it is, the battery may need replacement.
- Date not changing: Ensure the time is set correctly, passing midnight to advance the date. If the date is stuck, try manually advancing it using the crown in position 2.
- Chronograph hands not resetting to zero: This may indicate a need for calibration or service. Consult a professional watch repair service.
- INDIGLO not working: The battery may be low, or there could be an internal issue.
