5.2 Offline Clone Function
The offline clone function allows you to duplicate a source hard drive to a target hard drive without needing a computer connection.
Important:- Ensure all important data on the target hard drive is backed up before cloning, as it will be overwritten.
- The target disk capacity must be equal to or larger than the source disk capacity.
- Disconnect the docking station from your PC.
- Insert the source hard drive into the "Source" bay (usually labeled A).
- Insert the target hard drive into the "Target" bay (usually labeled B).
- Ensure the "CLONE/PC" switch on the back of the docking station is set to "CLONE" mode.
- Press and hold the "START" button for 5 seconds. All indicator lights will illuminate, and a long beep will sound, indicating the cloning process has begun.
- The LED progress indicators (25%, 50%, 75%, 100%) will light up sequentially as the cloning progresses.
- Once cloning is complete, three long beeps will sound, and all progress indicators will remain lit.
- Turn off the power, then safely remove the hard drives.

9. Troubleshooting
- Device Not Recognized:
- Ensure the power adapter is securely connected and the device is powered on.
- Verify the USB data cable is properly connected to both the docking station and your computer.
- Try a different USB port on your computer.
- If using a desktop, try connecting to a rear USB port directly on the motherboard.
- Ensure the "CLONE/PC" switch is set to "PC" mode for computer access.
- Check Disk Management (Windows) or Disk Utility (Mac) to see if the drive is detected but uninitialized or unformatted.
- Slow Transfer Speeds:
- Ensure you are using a USB 3.0 or USB 3.2 Gen 2 port on your computer for optimal speeds.
- Verify that UASP is enabled (usually automatic with compatible systems and drives).
- The actual speed may vary depending on the hard drive's performance and your computer's system.
- Offline Clone Failure:
- Confirm the target disk's capacity is equal to or larger than the source disk's capacity.
- Ensure the docking station is disconnected from the PC during the cloning process.
- Check that both drives are securely inserted into their respective bays.
- If the issue persists, try using different SATA drives to rule out drive-specific problems.
- Intermittent Connection/Disconnection:
- Ensure all cables (power and USB) are firmly connected.
- Try a different USB cable or port.
- If connected to a USB hub, try connecting directly to the computer.
- Some users have reported connection issues after system reboots; power cycling the device (turning it off and on) may resolve this.
