Introduction
This manual provides essential information for the proper assembly, operation, and maintenance of your Donner DED-300 Electric Drum Set and Drum Practice Pad. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the product to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Retain this manual for future reference.
Product Overview
The Donner DED-300 is an advanced electric drum set designed for both beginners and experienced players. It features DSP technology for realistic acoustic drum sounds, 25 preset kits, and 329 sounds. The set includes upgraded 8-inch double-layer full mesh drum pads and a newly designed Superforce high-density bass drum with double pedaling support.
Accompanying the drum set is a versatile drum practice pad, constructed from high-density compressed wood, elastic rubber, and an EVA polymer mat, designed for quiet and authentic practice.

Setup: Electric Drum Set
1. Assembly of the Drum Rack and Pads
Carefully unpack all components. Assemble the drum rack according to the included diagram (not provided in this manual, refer to separate assembly guide if applicable). Attach the mesh drum pads, cymbals, and drum module to the rack.
2. Connecting Components
- Connect each drum pad and cymbal to the corresponding input on the DED-300 drum module using the provided cables.
- Connect the kick drum pedal and hi-hat control pedal to their respective inputs on the module.
- Connect the power adapter to the drum module and then to a power outlet.
- For audio output, connect headphones to the headphone jack or an amplifier/speaker system to the main output jacks.
3. Adjusting Mesh Drum Pad Tension
The DED-300 features Superlink drum pads with a spiral adjustment design for consistent tension. To adjust the tension, rotate the drum pad's outer ring. Rotating in one direction will tighten the mesh, providing a firmer feel, while rotating in the opposite direction will loosen it for a softer response.

4. Kick Drum Pedal Setup
The Superforce high-density bass drum supports double pedaling. Position the kick drum pad and pedal securely. Ensure the beater strikes the center of the mesh pad for optimal response.

Setup: Drum Practice Pad
The Donner Drum Practice Pad is designed for quiet practice. It can be used on various surfaces such as a table, carpet, or mounted on a standard snare stand (stand not included).
- Place the practice pad on a stable, flat surface. The EVA polymer mat on the bottom helps prevent slipping and absorbs impact noise.
- For stand mounting, ensure the pad is securely fastened to avoid movement during practice.

Practice Pad Construction
The practice pad is constructed with three layers: a high-density elastic rubber surface for realistic rebound, a high-density compressed wood core for durability, and an EVA polymer mat base for stability and noise reduction.

Operating the DED-300 Drum Module
The DED-300 drum module is the central control unit for your electric drum set. It features DSP technology to reproduce classic acoustic drum sounds and offers a wide range of customization options.

Figure 6: The DED-300 drum sound module, showing the display, rotary knob, and various control buttons for sound selection and settings.
Key Features and Controls:
- Preset Kits: The module includes 25 classic preset drum kits, covering various musical styles. Use the "KIT" button and rotary knob to navigate and select different kits.
- Sounds: Access 329 individual drum and percussion sounds. These can be assigned to different pads to create custom kits. Refer to the module's dedicated manual for detailed sound assignment instructions.
- DSP Technology: Digital Signal Processing (DSP) technology is integrated to enhance the realism and dynamics of the drum sounds, mimicking acoustic drum performance.
- Tempo Control: Adjust the tempo for practice songs or metronome functions using the "TEMPO" button and rotary knob.
- Metronome/Click: Activate the built-in metronome for timing practice using the "CLICK" button.
- Volume Control: Adjust the overall output volume using the main volume knob.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe down the drum pads, cymbals, module, and rack. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, solvents, or waxes, as these can damage the surfaces.
- Pad Care: Regularly check the tension of the mesh drum pads. Adjust as needed to maintain desired feel and response. Avoid excessive force when striking the pads to prevent premature wear.
- Cable Management: Ensure all cables are neatly routed and not under tension or pinched. This prevents damage to the cables and connectors.
- Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the drum set in a clean, dry environment, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Practice Pad Care: The practice pad is durable, but avoid exposing it to sharp objects or extreme moisture. Clean with a damp cloth if necessary.
