4. Setup and Installation

4.1 Dimensions and Placement

The CIARRA range hood is designed for under-cabinet mounting. Ensure sufficient space is available above your cooking surface. Refer to the dimensions diagram for precise measurements.

4.2 Ventilation Modes: Ducted vs. Ductless

This range hood supports both ducted and ductless (recirculation) ventilation. For ducted operation, the hood exhausts air outside through a duct system. For ductless operation, air is filtered through carbon filters and recirculated back into the kitchen.

4.2.1 Ductless Conversion (Carbon Filter Installation)

If using the hood in ductless mode, the included carbon filters must be installed. These filters absorb odors and smoke before the air is recirculated. Refer to the specific instructions provided with the carbon filters for proper installation. Ensure the carbon filters are securely attached to the motor housing.

5. Operating Instructions

The CIARRA range hood features intuitive push-button controls located on the front panel.

• Power Button (OFF): Press to turn the range hood off.
• Fan Speed Buttons (LOW, MID, HIGH): Press the corresponding button to select the desired fan speed. The fan operates at 3 speeds to effectively remove smoke and odors.
• Lighting Button (LIGHTING): Press to turn the integrated LED lights on or off. The LED lights provide bright illumination for your cooktop.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning the Aluminum Mesh Filters

The aluminum mesh filters are designed to capture grease and can be easily removed for cleaning. Regular cleaning maintains optimal performance and prevents grease buildup, which can be a fire hazard.

• Removal: Gently push the latch on the filter and pull downwards to remove.
• Cleaning: The filters are dishwasher-safe. Alternatively, wash them by hand using hot water and a mild detergent. Ensure they are completely dry before reinstallation.
• Reinstallation: Align the filter with the slots and push upwards until it clicks into place.

6.2 Replacing Carbon Filters (Ductless Mode Only)

For ductless operation, carbon filters should be replaced periodically, typically every 3-6 months depending on usage, to maintain effective odor absorption. Refer to the carbon filter packaging for specific replacement intervals.

• Removal: Follow the instructions provided with the carbon filters to detach them from the motor housing.
• Installation: Install new carbon filters by aligning them and twisting or clicking them into place as per the filter instructions.

6.3 Exterior Cleaning

Clean the exterior of the range hood with a soft cloth and mild, non-abrasive detergent. The anti-fingerprint matte sandblasted finish is scratch-resistant and easy to clean.
